You can get away with the first part (it’s not just the Shahada, it’s literally the first sentence of the Nicene Creed.) but Man is, definitionally for a supposed Catholic, God. (“he was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became Man.”) you’re literally supposed to genuflect on that line. She’s heard this every week since childhood!

None of these assholes are Christian, they neither embrace the “Low Christianity” of charity, humility and forgivness, nor the “High Christianity” of the Logos and the nature of the Divine because none of these people can read or, apparently, listen in mass.

American Christians are all heretics. That’s why religiousity is so high in the States, none of them know or care about theolgy. They just groove to the Chistain Nationalist (aka white supremacist) vibes

Look, I grew up catholic and I’m a massive nerd, and even I think expecting the laity to know or care about theology is a bit much.

That being said, these supposed catholics don’t even care about doctrine or obedience, which is, like, basic catholic shit. They’re all heretics wanting to do protestant stuff (personal relationship with God, salvation by faith alone, etc.) and to call themselves catholic. If the church wasn’t so washed they’d be excommunicated or worse by now.

They should all do the cool thing and just renounce the church altogether. “So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!” and so on.

Nitpick, I don’t think MTG has ever claimed to be Catholic. She says her denomination is “Christian Nationalist” which is incoherent, and the church she regularly attends is one of those “Non-denominational Charismatic” megachurches. She’s just an evangelical who doesn’t know enough to understand it in those terms.
