Continuing to post . . . whatever overlapping genre contains Little Dragon and KKB and Men I Trust. It’s not a real genre, but there’s something common here.

I really like this album, and Little Dragon in general. I haven’t listened to anything they’ve put out since Season High, but they apparently put out a new record this year.

There’s something about this one that I love though, the synth, the rhythms, the energy. I like their more soul stuff, too, but tracks on this like “Looking Glass” have a delightfully 80s sound backing an ambitious and thick composition that I just love. You could almost here a little foreshadowing of vaporwave.
