Corporate Universities try to rush teaching and courses are both too short and too rushed for students to learn anything in depth.
I am not exaggerating when I say my experience going back to Uni has been largely teaching myself because the teachers don’t have the time. During my time here they have fired a bunch of teachers who were already taking on too much work.
Several Professors have let slip that a lot of these classes used to be two classes.
This increasingly becomes a huge problem in the sciences, because science is always expanding as humanity learns more about the world. These classes need even more time than they used to and instead they’re getting less.
This whole thing is a joke and I feel like I’m being robbed but I have no choice if I want to get into ecology.
