I mean last week it was all over the news that Mattel and OpenAI made a deal to put chatgpt in toys such as Barbie.

It’s not nearly as massive as the “legit” tobacco industry. If it was that big an issue, people would be smoking everywhere. And as I mentioned it’s obvious how much more people are smoking in Europe compared to here.

So the point stands, that in absolute terms, smoking is way down. Your average person doesn’t want to buy cigarettes from their local drug dealer.

It does work though. Here in Australia you still see people smoke here and there, but you notice the difference when travelling around the world.

Went to Paris and Rome in December and it was really annoying having to deal with smokers and vapers seemingly everywhere.

I think only if you have a good reason or don’t have 100% verifiable documentation. Before our first child was born the doctor recommended we get MMR again just to be sure. You don’t want to risk it around a vulnerable newborn.

It’s not sad in terms of numbers. It’s sad in terms of the implementation. It’s pretty much only the kernel… Yes I know all the utilities and applications is really GNU and not Linux, but that’s what people think of when they say they run Linux.

So yes all android phones technically run Linux, but you’re not getting a Unix flavoured experience at all. It might as well not have been linux.

Hence the sadness.
