I’ve thought for a xouple of minutes, and my best idea is Minecraft. not that they accidentally made it fun, but i think they set out to make a survival game with crafting, and accidentally made a sandbox for creations of boundless imagination.


I’ve seen a lot more misogyny than i expected to on lemmy, and it’s also more computing-focussed than i expected. disappointing, but it does seem predictable
interesting analogy. do you suspect that reddit, wikipedia etc. will soon become paywalled? or will private ownership of reddit, fandom etc. gate them to the populace in other ways?
