Could you explain why you feel that Jellyfin is a lot better? I’ve seen lots of folks saying it lately, but as someone with an unraid server running plex to back up and view my music and movie collections for years, I don’t get it. I’ve tried Jellyfin twice now. The most recent time was a couple of months ago. While it is good, I honestly have a hard time seeing what makes it much better than Plex. While I disagree with a number of things Plex has done, I still recommend it to friends who want a personal media server or place to rip and backup their CDs to. It’s still the easiest to setup and most intuitive imo. Am I just missing something?

I’m not sure if you realize this if you are outside the US, but debt in the country is at or near all time highs. Over 70% of people live paycheck to paycheck (some of those don’t have expenses fully covered, even), and roughly 10% are below the poverty line. Unfortunately, as much as many of us would like to strike, we don’t have the resources. A weeks long strike would mean many people couldn’t feed themselves or their children, or even afford basic necessities. The other issue is that many of those involved in all the MAGA nonsense will call for violence against protestors, even do things like drive a car through a crowd of them.

This only works if you live in areas with no traffic. I have had multiple commutes in different cities, and would take a train whenever possible because of how unpleasant the drive is during rush hour (not to mention driving took longer, in one case 2.5x as long!). I don’t even live in a city, I’m just forced to commute because that’s where the work is. I love cars and have been an enthusiast all my life, but there are many reasons why public transportation is so popular around the world. The US might be somewhat unique in the challenges it faces with public transit, but it is still a better, cleaner, cheaper, and more efficient solution for most of the miles Americans are driving in cities or other congested areas.

I think he’s arguing in favor of therapy, not against it.

I don’t know if there are other options out there, but the smoke buddyhas worked well for me. It’s a pretty simple device, and basically just acts as a filter for your exhaled vapor. You literally just put it up to your mouth and exhale into it, and it filters 100% of the smell out. If you combine it with dry herb vaping, you shouldn’t smell much of anything aside from the not very pungent smell that comes from the weed heating up in the dry herb vape. To me, that smells mostly like something being toasted, not a strong weed smell.

I switched to a dry herb vape, and honestly I see no reason to go back. The only advantage I see with combustion is that you can light up quicker, but honestly waiting one minute or less for the dry herb vape to heat up isn’t a big deal. The taste is better, I’ve found the high to be a bit nicer, there’s less smell if that matters to you, and it generally feels much cleaner. A huge advantage is that it makes weed last much longer. For me, about 1/3 of a normal bowl using the dry herb vape gets me just as high as a full bowl in a pipe or bong. I also like that it preserves the ritual of grinding and packing the “bowl”, as I find it relaxing. Regular vapes always feel too easy, if that makes any sense. I was hesitant to buy in initially because the vape alone was about $100 (Planet of the Vapes One), but I’m certain it will pay for itself quickly. I’m overall extremely happy with dry herb and recommend it to everybody. There are also tons and tons of options for dry herb vapes now, so you can get pretty much exactly what you want. Minecraft. It was probably the inspiration for my entire career path, to be honest. When I first played it, it ran horribly. I had an Athlon II and 4gb of ram running Windows Vista. After a few months I bought some AMD gpu that was waaaay too big for my Dell SFF case. I tried modding (read “hacking up”) my case, but couldn’t get it to fit. Wound up building an entirely new computer about a year later after scraping up all my birthday and Christmas money. After that I bought a high refresh rate monitor, then a better mouse, keyboard, and you know how the story goes from there.
