Wiretapping laws don’t cover who you can take photos of.
My only criticism might be this line
OK, the dungeon descriptions aren’t as tactile or parsable as what the OSR standard has established.
I know earlier the author said they come from more of the OSR space, but I think this line might lend itself to being misinterpereted that the TOR2e supplement is trying to be for an OSR style game and has come up somewhat short.
Otherwise, good writeup.
Yeah, when you’re closing on a house, your attorney (if the state you’re in requires one, or you opt to hire one) will walk you through the payment schedule and how much you’ll pay over the life of the mortgage. On one hand it sucks that you’re essentially paying double, on the other hand, real nice not having to have the full 500k upfront.
if you turn off end to end encryption
isn’t that the main reason to use it though, privacy?
It’s about a sci-fi future where you can use search engines.
This is the only proper response.
It looks like it was the municipality, not the HOA.
To be fair, human skin is good for blocking alpha radiation, that’s an extremely low bar.
That’s literally just an HOA, but only for multi-tenant buildings. Like, I get that you don’t have them for detached single family homes, but every aspect you’re describing is just how HOAs function in the US.
Every 100 years but not every 400 years! Isn’t it fun?
Small correction, it’s every fourth year except every hundreth year except every 400th year. I’m assuming the misconception comes from the last time it was a 100th also being a 1000th (2000) but the next time a leap year will end in 00 is 2400
There’s nothing stopping them from firing you, but a one time offense will not get the government to deny you you unemployment, assuming you appeal any denial. Especially if the only other ammo they have is from five years ago.
Extremely doubtful that this would rise to a firing that was justified enough that would preclude the employees seeking unemployment. They would really want to have a longer paper trail than “CEO sent a slack message and then a meeting a week later.” Not saying that this was an illegal firing. This was just power tripping.
Don’t you have a comically tall sandwich to be constructing somewhere?
I wanted it to be “explore the cursed island full of monsters and traps”, and one of the players just wanted to open a restaurant. No. Bad.
Respectfully, that player is an ass.
A game about opening a restaurant sounds really fun. Playing a character like that in a different kind of game ain’t the time or place though.
I just started running a game of Broken Compass, and I truly am blessed to have my group, because they’re great, but we still all built characters together as part of session zero so I could make sure they all fit the theme of the story I’m trying to have them inhabit.
Lean into it. Engage wih the mechanics and the theme of the game.
Don’t have a huge backstory laid out, because it’s fun to be able to make stuff up in the moment without it having to be a huge retcon.
Know what everything on your sheet does.
We planted some butterfly milkweed in our back yard this year and I saw a monarch a couple weeks ago. I keep checking the milkweed for eggs (none so far)
So, not solid surfaces, as called out in the image
They probably bought it from someone who previously had rented it out.
The concept of no-fault divorce must infuriate you.
