Mine broke twice in 3 years, exactly the same part. Not sure if I want to repair them a third time. I love the idea that you can repair everything, but at some point it’s just too expensive with the shipping and all.

Reminder: Microsoft relocated their headquarters to Munich after they scored the win to abandon LiMux, the first OSS project in a big city. This is just the return on investment. Works very well in a state that doesn’t care for high level corruption.
Edit: Bavaria also meddled with the decision to adopt Open Document Text as defacto standard in Germany. My memory is a little bit blurry on this and internet search for older articles is just…non-existent anymore.
Anyway, that decision was reversed .
Edit 2: There might be something else going on in the background as well. Lidl/Schwarz and SAP are going heavy on the “German Cloud”. They are both from Baden-Württemberg, another power-player in the south. This almost looks like a standoff.

I am using them for 3 years now. Great headset, but I had to order new parts twice. The online shop only allows for credit card/klarna/paypal but not direct payment, so I have to give up on them now. You can’t buy parts in a local shop despite numerous chains doing partnerships with apple and co. I know, there is more money, but it would really help their brand if they would allow for payments without using data miners and brokers.

It’s just a first step. I bet you will get more than enough support from federated nerds here, but I suggest you go with the Tuxedo Support for now. If it’s faulty hardware or an energy issue it just make sense not to go too deep into it by yourself, especially if you are new to linux.

What distro is this and is it fully upt to date?
It could be an issue with a specific kernel driver or a hardware issue.
You could just deactivate that specific notification, but that won’t fix the issue. See what you can find in KJournalD-Browser, it should come with the KDE environment.
That is a nice NAS, when I got my Terramaster F4-420 I immediately upgraded RAM, put a SSD in the hidden 5th slot and installed TrueNAS. Almost overkill since I only need it for some NFS shares now, but in the beginning I was experimenting with iSCSI partitions and that was real fun. Also the firmware back then allowed for full virtualization, so I was running a homelab for testing and education.

To make matters worse, the terms included a provision that if the PSF was found to have voilated that anti-DEI diktat, the NSF reserved the right to claw back any previously disbursed funds, Crary explained. “This would create a situation where money we’d already spent could be taken back, which would be an enormous, open-ended financial risk,” the PSF director added.
Nobody in their right mind would sign such a travesty.

Boluarte faced widespread protests after she assumed power in late 2022, leading to dozens of deaths and a plunge in her popularity levels, which oscillated between 2% and 4% in the days leading up to her ouster. Congress – which was headed by Jerí before he became president – is almost equally unpopular, with a single-digit approval rating.
It’s in there, last two paragraphs. The new president is just an updated version of the old one, with his own major corruption accusations:
Jerí, 38, has promised to make crime his top priority but has faced a number of scandals, including corruption allegations and a now-shelved investigation for sexual assault. Jerí has denied wrongdoing in both cases and expressed willingness to cooperate with any corruption investigation.
Can you still install an OSS alternative instead of their locked OS? I am using a F4-420 with TrueNAS for more then 6 years now, as I remember they changed something in their firmware so you are not able to install another OS anymore. But I can be wrong, my Terramaster runs just fine on TrueNAS (community edition). It’s an awesome and trouble free NAS.

What happens when they start a war in space? Will we only realize once we all get hit on the head by space debris? There are already reports on satellites being used to hunt other space stuff.
And will there be journalists in space by 2030, maybe reporting live from Moonstation-3?

e/OS, year 7 or 8. Not the Murena edition, I installed it myself. It works for me since FP3, but I’m not a power user. Little bit of banking, Signal and phone. I’m not interested in having the most secure, uber-mystified computer in my pocket, I’m not a spy. It’s de-googled, uses only one app with ChatGPT which you can just deactivate. Enough privacy for me.

When contacted by the Guardian for comment, an automatic response from the US Capitol police public information office was sent that said the office is “closed for routine business” during the funding-related federal government shutdown that began on 1 October. “The office will reopen when the federal government is funded,” the response said.
So…they are NOT investigating at the moment.
My problem with this thought is: what is Putin willing to do if he is backed into a corner? My biggest concern in this whole mess.
