6·18 hours agoIch würde sogar so weit gehen, zu sagen, dass alle Staaten der Welt, in der EU oder außerhalb, manchmal (argumentierbar) Menschenrechtsverletzungen begehen.
In Wien (VIE) muss man seit einigen Monaten auch nichts mehr auspacken, aber ich weiß nicht, ob das damit was zu tun hat, ich denke nicht, dass die Menge an maximaler Flüssigkeit erhöht wurde (kann mich aber auch irren)?

The worst bills in the US Congress are always supported by both parties, I suspect so there is no way to vote against them.
Vivaldi is not free and open source software, so for that reason alone it’s a good idea to stay away from it. There are so many FOSS browsers available nowadays.
65·4 days agoThe problem with pro-censorship activism is that pro-censorship activists will find out where something they want to censor is now hosted and then go after that with the same methods they used for the place it was previously hosted on.

2·6 days agoI have brought this up before with my instance admins, that there were communities in the search results whose hosting instances were no longer up. They told me that there was no good way to do anything about this, the only thing they could do is defederate from those instances but that would delete old threads.

3·8 days agoLast one must have been GTA 4 (I’ve meanwhile bought this on Steam so I can play it without) or Crazy Taxi (came with a cereal box in my childhood).
If an instance (= a topic group, e. g. “memes”,“World news” or “MapPorn” in the example picture) is moving from one server to another (= the name and/or ending changes), how to properly follow the move?
You find out about it the way you did, then follow the new one. I don’t think there’s a mechanism to do that automatically.
And what happens to the “old” instances, that are discontinued? Should I keep the following?
In this particular case, you can see in the sidebar that the community is locked, i.e. there will not be any new posts, i.e. there is no point in keeping the subscription. It also doesn’t hurt anything though.
This has been a thing since at least 2010 when it happened to WikiLeaks.
