Things that I really like about Zen:

• New tab URL input, it’s a dialog overlay
• Tabs opening as the first instead of the last in the sidebar
• the tab sidebar
• opening external links is magic, they open in an overlay with the option to expand in a tab. This is probably my favourite, because often I need to open a link from an email, do one thing, then go back to the email. This feature keeps me in the context of what I was doing.

I have an x360 running bazzite with gnome and it runs great.

I’m on bazzite which I believe is like a sibling or derivative of bluefin. All based on atomic fedora. Atomic means the base system is immutable, which should help with stability. As mentioned elsewhere, for bleeding edge you use flatpak or distrobox. Its been a pleasure to use, I’m very happy.

How you got that from my comment is beyond understanding. Did you read what I wrote? I was only commenting that based on the events as described in the article it is a little disappointing to read the gleefully and happy comments that an implied innocent person was killed by a grieving father.

As others have pointed out, the police in the US cannot be trusted. I do not trust the police in the US. I believe the militarisation of the police and the impunity with which they operate are a danger to the society. If anything I believe the police should be held to higher standards than the general population, not lower as I believe is the case. It’s a fucked up institution and stuff must change.

But none of that justifies randomly killing someone. If that makes you think I’m on the side of the police then 🤷‍♂️

[Edit] I forgot to add that I do not blame the father exactly either. I cannot imagine what that must be like. I hope he will be judged fairly.

Correct. I used to use the same key combo to switch virtual desktops on my Ubuntu install way back when and when on Windows my muscle memory would result in screen rotating all the time

Title definitely feels like a missed opportunity

According to the article the son was in a stolen vehicle, and ran away with a gun in his hand before being shot and killed.

The father after seeing the body cam video went out and killed a deputy who was directing traffic.

The article doesn’t say whether the deputy was involved in the shooting, but it’s implied he wasn’t.

The article, but frankly also the responses here, leave me with a lot of ethical questions. How is this not just incredibly tragic for everyone involved? How can you judge the police’s handling of the situation that resulted in the killing of the son as absolutely unjustified based on what was in the article, and how can you be happy that a seemingly innocent person was killed by the father? I’m as sceptical about the police as the next person, ACAB and all, but it’s a bit disappointing to see some of the reactions here, based on the information in the article. Perhaps I missed something and this was a George Floyd type situation? And it was the deputy who killed the son who was killed?

Had my boss bring over twinkies from the states because I was curious. Holy moly that stuff is sweet, it’s like distilled sugar or something.

I actually had it break, it wouldn’t go past the login after an update. Turns out it was a gnome issue. It was something like an accessibility feature I had enabled crashed gnome. So, technically it was gnome and it would’ve happened in any distro.

Other than that, bazzite, its perfect.

I did a bunch of animations when in art school decades ago, hand drawn, 3d, clay, mixed media, digital. I even did 6 30 second ones for TV. It’s an insane amount of work. 24 frames per second, so that’s 720 frames for the ones I produced for TV. I liked the moment of fame, but I didn’t make a career out of it :)

This is a great effort OP, and brought me back to those days.

I do this too. Took me a little effort to set things up, but now its so easy.

Of course Le Pen’s reaction is that this is politically motivated. I’m not familiar with the ins and outs of this case, but am assuming the verdict is sound. Reactions like this are in my mind more serious than the actual offence; they undermine the rule of law. If found guilty in her appeal they should take this reaction into account and ban her from office forever.
