I agree, I use Duolingo because it’s good at making me comeback to learn. But I use it for vocabulary as I feel it is best for that. It was never very good at teaching grammar.

But I don’t know why it is not good at teaching grammar. I don’t think it’s that difficult to replicate textbook exercises in a fun way. All I can think why they don’t have good grammar exercises is that it’s some dark pattern I don’t recognise.

I thought Duolingo was terrible for grammar.

Not really. I used it a few times when it was new not much after that.

I don’t have an ID, but I’ve found that it can be a graceful teacher at times, explaining things in different ways and a lot more patient. Maybe it might be useful to you as well when you have difficulty understanding something.

Countries are a social construct so instead of focusing on boarders, bring it directly to the cultural heirs.

I think this tricky. Usually, I think the Cultural heritage belongs to the countries from where the artifacts were taken, so that’s where the artifacts should be returned to. Otherwise, How do you decide who to give an artifact to? Most inhabitants of central America share Mayan ancestry, and they no longer follow the maya religion.

I guess it’s a case to case basis. I am sure the rare cases in which there is a dispute it should be left upto the countries or institutions that claim the artifact to arbitrate.
