I think you underestimate how much time and energy it took to get us to this point. Like, billions of years of evolution to arrive at a brain as efficient as ours.

In Nier: Automata, 2B moves away if you try to look under her skirt. Kaine in Nier Replicant apparently even kills you for it and calls you a “pervy little shit” among other insults.
I hope you know that what your mom said to you is not the whole truth. “suicide is something weak cowards think about” is true, but you don’t have to be a weak coward to think about suicide. “not every one can be happy” doesn’t mean you and your loved ones are destined to not be happy.
I may or may not have torrented so many games, software, movies and albums without any VPN. It went well for years until we got one of those letters.
Fuck Windows XP
I think it’s allowed to hate anti-customer practices and have good memories of an actually somewhat user-friendly OS that just worked for many people in many other regards.
I hate Windows. I will always fondly remember XP and Win 7. Windows 7 should’ve been the last Windows.
So I am not mad at you. You shall be forgiven, and I am even going to turn the other cheek and give you an upvote. It’s what Windows XP would’ve wanted me to do, too, I am sure of it.

115 is not “average” lmao
On A0 stance dancing is not as important I would say – it becomes the go-to when hitting higher ascensions, and if you want to beat the heart. I won A20 with all kinds of decks, even very off Meta (had a deck once that was like 5 wheel kicks and 6 Just Lucky’s lol)
Focus on card removes and damage, keep your deck small, remove defends early. Make it a challenge to beat enemies in the least amount of turns (with a bit of luck you can beat most fights in act 1 in turn 1 or turn 2 – if you’re very lucky even bosses at times!)
Often you just need 1 Mental Fortress or Talk to the Hand to block effectively!
Watcher is a pretty cool character because you usually just need 1 of everything to get very far.
Just an addition to all the long comments already here:
There are some games that don’t work on Linux, mainly big corpo multiplayer titles. https://areweanticheatyet.com/
Windows 10 LTSC IoT might help. (This gets recommended a lot on lemmy I noticed) : https://massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc_links
It’s not forbidden to set up dual-boot. I would recommend using Linux as your main OS though.
I hope they leave that experience the main focus.
Hmmm, so in the short Devlog on YouTube they ask “what do you wanna see in Subnautica 2?”, and the top comment says
A personal wish of mine is to have proximity chat in multiplayer, with options such as radios to communicate from a distance
So the players want Multiplayer, but they also want the whole game to be the same “intimate” experience as Subnautica 1 – I was really worried about that because a big part of Subnautica 1 I feel like was this absolutely overwhelming loneliness/solitude. I never got this specific feeling in Below Zero.
Did you read the Communist Manifesto yet? It’s pretty short and a good starting point. Definitely more digestible than The Capital. It establishes and explains most well-known Marxist terminology, so you can put it into context if you stumble upon it elsewhere. You can find it on the internet pretty easily.
They could’ve done both lol
Daaaamn I fucked up. will try again gimme a few minutes
This post is 50% shitpost 40% thought poison and 10% half-baked good ideas PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUS thank you
a gamble anywhere else
Are there even any communities related to creative writing anywhere on lemmy? Never stumbled upon any
Thank you, I appreciate all your kind words :)
Maybe a bit of pressure wouldn’t hurt, hexbear is The first only community I’m kinda vibing with, and be it only from a observer’s perspective most of the time.
This might be more of a problem stemming from ADHD/neurodiversity because I actually struggle to articulate myself in my first language too. I often have to revise a text twice or more before I’m sure it’s communicating what I meant.
For example, the really interesting discussion of my original reply could come from me noting that advertisement has become a commodity itself. Look at mobile games, the line between the actual product and advertisement has become increasingly blurry over the last few years.
If you need one more shitposter on hexbear, well I’m down for that too. .world doesn’t usually appreciate my shitposts, no idea why that is
A very educated and smart now software engineer ML friend of mine always tried to express himself in the simplest way possible. He could’ve come up with a very sophisticated reason, but only said “if simple words are enough, why make it more complicated” when you asked him. This was fascinating to me, and reflected his approach to problem solving in general. “Use only the minimal amount of complex language necessary”. You want to communicate after all.
Sorry I know I don’t seem like my English is bad but you have to trust me :D sometimes I use a wrong term or make very vague statements or generally talk shit (and I am pretty good at that, too).
I did lurk in my browser from time to time, but my app feed still felt empty :( I plan on creating a hexbear account when my English gets better anyway. Only a matter of years lol
People love advertising. Advertising itself is more addictive than the products it advertises.
Friends call me crazy when I watch TV with them and am like “yooo what a sick ad! omg let’s goooo” I’m so hyped about this shit, because I ron’t see ads in my own spaces. When it cones to television they interest me more than the actual content. Ads are like sugar, fast food, a cigarette, or a slop blockbuster movie. You want to get dumb. You want it to get into your brain.
It’s belletristic and from I think… 2000something? “99 francs” is the original title. There’s a book and a movie too. It’s pretty whacky but I found it to be very enjoyable, it portrays the sheer insanity of the ad industry from the inside and the outside.
Sorry I’m still a bit ill, got the flu and my brain has turned into mush over the last few days. Glad hexbear is back I missed you so much
edit: brain broke
I’d rather have a modern house, some housemates and no internet.
