The government in Sweden is already working with party that shares Trump’s goals. The frustrating thing is that they are more long term focused. Trump wants to implement his vision now, because it is his last shot at it, and he may only have two years in which he can do it (unless he destroys enough in those two years to continue). In Sweden, the far right have been at it since the 90s, and while they getting a bit eager, they still can separate themselves from Trump by saying that of course the way he does things is not the way they would do things. If they get to defund public access tv and radio this term, or slash benefits for immigrants, or restrict free speech at universities, or any number of things that Trump also is doing, even a single thing, they know: This policy will not solve what they promised it would but it has made that part of society a little less able to resist, and they can say “well, it did not help because we did not get to fulfill our whole platform” (this term was the first time they got direct access to influence the government, and they actually did say this directly after the government was formed, “don’t expect things to get better now, we will need more time”).

To compare them to Trump is often counter productive. “Trump deports people to camps in foreign nations, often without due process, do you want the same here?” is met with “Certainly not”, because they instead wants to make the bar for deportation to be so low that they will be able to do it with due process. The government and the far right have agreed that immigrants may face loss of residence and deportation because of just “bad behaviour” essentially, which includes being a victim of a crime. Trying to force a comparison with Trump here will most likely fail because while the goals are very similar, the strategy is different enough to in such a comparison allow them to highlight how different they are from Trump.

Trump is a very small bump in the road for them at best. I mean these are people who joined a Nazi party in the 90s, then said “look, maybe we should tone down with the swastikas, heil-ing, skinhead aestetic, celebration of serial killers killing immigrants, street violence, and our connections to actually Nazi SS people, singing antisemitic songs, bringing granades political opponents rallies to perform a planned act of terrorism and so on” which was the stuff they used to do then (now it is much rarer that they do it, and it is less official when they do) ”because it may not be a strategy that is working". Because of that, they can get away with anything, even have government officials say “the far-right were always right on the subject of immigration”. Trump is a very small issue for their image in this context I feel.

I have not tried these apps, but there is a transport app in my country which does not work on my murena phone (and two others have confirmed the app to be non functional on their phones as well).

I thought I had an issue with two transport apps, but one appears to work now. If you are willing to try I’d apprichiate it. The app is Mälardalstrafik, and when I do searches by going to “Tickets”, then “Buy Movingo”, " Continue without login", then it just shows the progress animation and then times out after a while.

Thanks for checking. I did have an issue with SJ and also Mälardalstrafik where search results did not show up for some sesrches. I double checked SJ now, and indeed, it works. I checked Mälardalstrafik again, and it does not work still (only normal searches work, not “Buy movingo” searches). I thought it was an overall issue with train apps, but then it appears to just be Mälardalstrafik then.

Nature is lazy to such a degree that it will even often stop you from doing whatever you are doing so that it can stop doing stuff. For example, Lenz’ Law

So basically; if you start playing around with magnets and circuits, nature will induce currents in such a way to stop you. That is next level lazy.

Most things I’d say is bash, easy just to write a simple task in it. If you have to use some more logic I use python. But python is far from great for it. It is easy for me to run a venv and test the stuff. But “this script should do a cron thing”, “this is an filter for ansible”, “this performs a job here or there”, managing a uniform consistent env for all of it is a mess. Bjt yeah, if it is just pipeline logic, ok that env can be managed.

I got one of those too. I called the customer service to get another path home because of disturbances, and they just have robot answering. I tripped over a cord once and broke the screen on my laptop. I salvaged the disk for another purpuse. But I got some prime hardware here, it’s got video output, it’s got ram, and a cpu! I used it for my lectures; liveusb with some persistent storage on, put my slides on there and fire it up. Did not have to unplug the normal laptop from my office. Nothing magic really, but some students were puzzled.

Still, if true, when Trump leaves office all of these people must declare that all of this shit they did and said were lies and quit themselves.

If they really do not mean that the US daddy Trump attacking Iran is keeping us safe, and shit like that, then they need to say that at some point, and that is as soon as possible. That would be when Trumps leaves office, if that was indeed the purpose here; to stroke his ego. And if they do, they need to quit, bebause they lied and distorted reality for all of us.

And I don’t think they will. They will instead still defend this shit long after he is gone and with it: another step forward for far-right populism and their view.

We were moving between countries and could not bring it all. Transporting it would be the big hassle, and we dont need the like maybe some 100€ at most we could get for the stuff, so we put it up for free. Lots of people were bringing candy, store bought and even homemade, for the stuff they were getting. Very nice actually.
