Supercell has their own, but it’s because they started before there was anything available.

Indie games make their own engines but it’s more of a hobby or passion project, not something that can employ two dozen people to develop it.

Or your engine can do something that’s hard to do with Godot, Unity or Unreal

If you have the talent and manpower to create your own engine, it’s better business to make that engine your product instead of whatever game you wanted to make.

YouTube ads pay a fuckton of money compared to any sponsorships. And sponsors pay more based on views and demographics, which YouTube also provides.

You just can’t make YouTube moneys by hosting an mp4 with sponsor ads, not ever.

Tbh YouTube is even worse.

I want my kid to watch YouTube in moderation, there are good content creators in there.

BUT there is no way for me to block their access to the brain rot shithole that is YouTube Shorts. None, zero, nada. No parental controls work.

With TikTok I can just block it completely with parental controls, no problems.
