Isn’t that just podcasting?
If you use that, suddenly you get every podcast app working for you for free.

I’m aware you meant music. But from a technical perspective, what’s the difference between a podcast audio file delivered via RSS and a music audio file delivered via RSS?
I’m saying that the apps and standards are already there, if you use them, you get all that for free, even if they were not intended for music.
