I think it’s a right place / right time sort of thing. I have never gone back and rewatched an old favorite without regretting it. Things that meant a lot to me at the time just hit different from a different head space, and revisiting that old space just makes the flaws more noticeable.
I’m still not over how betrayed I felt by this game. This is what convinced me never to preorder again.
The short answer is yes. A high rpm HDD like a Western Digital Black or a Seagate Barracuda will game just fine. Obviously your performance will vary depending on the game but it’s never going to be unplayable. Faster load times are nice but I have never seen a load screen take longer than a 30 ish seconds at most, even on newer titles.
My point is that the law is just going to keep creeping up in severity because of workarounds like this.
