2·1 month agoGee, you would think the PC gamers would be interested at least for situational awareness in the news of a massive data breach that leaked emails accounts with passwords and cookies that could be used to compromise gaming accounts.
I guess with the votes, I was mistaken.
I’m okay with this as long as it’s being used properly.
It just enabled proton for all games by default instead of having to manually turn the option on. Just one less thing to have to remember or do now for all games with proton.
- Case is fine even if a little dated. ATX is called a standard just for these types of things.
- Monitor and peripherals are good, power supply could use a refresh and the SSD, HDD I would relegate to secondary drives and just get a new SSD.
- You could look for a used PC, some of the local shops have some decent deals but I personally would avoid any office PC unless you’re just going for a very budget PC or just want to get a cheap CPU. All that proprietary parts and usually non-standard, underpowered PSU isn’t going to be great.
Shame that we’re in the minority of gamers.
Personally won’t be doing the kickstarter but would be interested in early access perhaps.
The real heroes are the guys who lent them their exhibitor badges.
It’s still good to be reminded that corporations are not your friend and we should be demanding better with our wallets.

Yeah, sad that this is the crap people have to resort to “fix” a bad standard and a even worse implementation.
Most gamers are stuck with lower end hardware because they can’t afford anything anymore.
I mean honestly, yeah. With a simple 4 GB chip they could have won the low end and not screwed over gamers.
They’ve really seemed to have forgotten their roots with the GPU market, which is a damn shame.

A whole week isn’t what I would call a “very limited time” but at the same time, best of luck to them.
Probably because harshness, tight timings, and the game goes out of it’s way to screw with your ability to execute the dodges and parries it’s more reminiscent of the souls like, not to mention it’s more recent and active in the gaming zeitgeist.
No really. Is more of a traditional, linear story driven, turn-based JRPG, set in alternate France, that incorporates dark-souls dodge and parry mechanics in combat.
So much fun in a completely different way.
