I had a phone call with my dad the other day helping him with his situation on his Win10 machine (his hardware doesnt support TPM) - and he was offered a free year of extended support. Was this not offered to all users?

Why on earth would you store customer data in a private github repo???

I’m all for new private messaging services - going over features though… what does this offer that others don’t? It doesn’t seem to require a phone number which is cool, but we already have Session and Matrix for that.

I believe that was you that was auto-rejected again. Pushed one more fix to the relay image and relaunched. if you’d be so kind to try once more, but if I see the error again I’m going to open an issue on the repo.

Hey I know this is a late reply but I was going over logs and I don’t think Friendica is supported. Your instance is the only one of the three erroring out so far. Do you know if you’ve been able to successfully add relays that support Friendica, and if so could you point them out to me so I can see what they are running?
edit I made some changes to the code in the relay. Can you try to delete and re-add the relay to your Friendica instance and I’ll check the logs after to confirm?

I use WhatsApp cautiously with friends who still refuse to jump over to Signal (let alone Matrix or Session). But it’s def mind blowing to read an activist group was relying on it for organizing. Reminds me of FB being used for organizing G20 and BLM demos -_-

That’s cool to know this works with friendica! How do you find running an instance? I’ve noticed friendica.world has been having issues lately

That’s cool to hear. Thank you!!

Amazing. Thank you. Can you search for #RelaySmokeTest123 on your instance and tell me if you get a hit?

Signal is probably your best bet but it’s only mostly open source. Element/Matrix is another good option if open source is your concern.
Not only did they not have to keep it this long - there are a handful of better ways to store that data
