Once again reaffirming why LibreOffice clears OnlyOffice with its shitass “ai mode” nonsense you have to opt out of by default

So its a wee bit strange when I see AI added to OSS projects as well, and a LOT of Claude commits on git repos.

Don’t think that open source is immune to this, OnlyOffice has an AI button and many OSS devs are integrating Claude into their dev nowadays. It’s getting annoying.

Not a bad choice although that’s one I’ve been aiming to get away from because of the controversy and unwillingness to keep getting yelled at over it 🙄

I get what you mean. I was a skeptic at first as well until I gave daily driving MV3 Lite a go, and well, six months went by with no tangible noticeable differences from my daily routine. It was to the point where I questioned why it was even such a big fuss in the community.

Personally the tradeoffs with going Firefox/anything Gecko are far more noticeable for my routine. The closest they get to what I am after, is LibreWolf with a couple defaults changed.

Who’s trying to take LibreWolf away?

I have it as my fallback and ngl for Gecko based it is probably the only one that’s usable on my setup. Would like to see them integrate proper Javascript JIT controls similar to what IronFox has on mobile so I can make it even better.

I’ve been attempting to return to Gecko-based but have had nothing but issues with the way I browse, Chromium-based seems to just function better on my machines. I have IronFox on mobile, but have had the same integration issues on Firefox and Waterfox. Not entirely sure what I’m doing wrong, but meh.

MV3 is more than sufficient for ad blocking. uBlock Origin Lite has been fantastic in my experience.
