Yay I’m glad you like them!
Puts the “fun” in “funeral doom”. Always looking for new music.
Pronouns: he/they

I can’t think of any specific EU vendors, but Etsy is a great place to find independent sellers and you can filter by region.
If you don’t mind extending your search out to the UK, I can thoroughly recommend buying from the anarchist, queer print shop Black Lodge Press. They print stickers and zines in limited runs, so just checking now they don’t have much available, but previously they had some great “Queer love destroys fascism” stickers. It’s worth keeping an eye on their store.
This era of the internet was so exciting. I really miss it.
I haven’t heard of Pastel Ghost, I’ll check them out. I love those Perturbator albums.
Nice! I know none of those, but I’ll be checking them out!
I’m planning on getting these releases:
Andreas E.P. by Covenant: a tribute to their late live bandmember, who died from cancer last year.
Sunbirds, by Slowly Building Weapons: I found out about this screamo band through the !obscuremusic@piefed.social community.
Better Off Alone, by Oromet: I haven’t listened to this yet, but Oromet brought out a funeral doom album a few years ago that blew me away, and they’re working on new material. Meanwhile they’ve released a cover of an Alice Deejay song. Yep, a funeral doom cover of an Ibiza summer classic. I’m intruiged.
There are a few more releases I’m looking at, but these three are the ones I’m most excited about so far.
I think it might speak to other parents who are not accepting? Like it shows that someone who also thought like them was open to having their mind changed. They might be more willing to listen to her story.
Update: I found the original article. It’s very light on details and only mentions there was a time some years ago where Tamzin struggled with accepting her son’s identity. Still, it’s nice (to me, anyway) to see a positive development arc.
It’s not dead in the water though. After weighing up all my options, I decided buying a Pixel and immediately putting GrapheneOS on it was better for my privacy and security than getting another non-Google phone, and going through whatever processes required for whatever de-Googled Android ROM on that phone.
I don’t like giving money to Google, but when I weighed up all the options this was still the best course for me. Of course, this is just my experience and reasoning.
Besides, it sounds like GrapheneOS is in talks with other OEMs so we may see support in other non-Google devices!
Sorry, I didn’t intend my comment to appear as policing what you wrote! I was just taken aback by the common name.
Is that really the common name? 🤯
It’s in the Gay Village in Manchester! I can thoroughly recommend going.
I recently visited the statue of him in Sackville Gardens in Manchester. It’s good to see him being remembered.
I’ve used gen.nvim and codecompanion.nvim, both with a local ollama server running.
I think gen.nvim was a little more straightforward to use, but in general I don’t find LLM-aided coding to be that helpful to me.
Yeah because they’re so consistent in applying what’s in the scriptures, right?
It sounds like the council received a veiled threat:
Matlock Town Council said it had received communication that the rainbow flag could be “forcibly removed” from outside Cornerstone Christian Bookshop in Dale Road, so action was taken to relocate the flag to another central location to avoid confrontation or damage.
The council said the decision was “purely from a health and safety standpoint” and it stood in “full support of the LGBTQIA+ community”.
Stay classy, Christians 🖕🏻
Jesus Christ that README just kept getting worse. Hard pass on that.
I’ve thought it might be good to wear some kind of church’s shirt or something - I know that police tend to fuck with people who help the homeless, especially in my area.
As someone else mentioned, this might actually work against you.
With regards to police interference, if you feel you are able, it’s worth pushing back against it. If it’s not against the law where you live, record any interaction with police on your phone, and know your rights regarding stop and search, detainment, etc. Legally resisting this kind of police overreach has a big impact on increasing the safety for other outreach groups and can embolden others to make positive change if they’re more confident they’re not going to be harassed by police for doing so.
Do you know you’re being disingenuous?
Straight people aren’t being murdered for being straight.
None of your points are examples of how it’s dangerous to be straight.
Bravo! you made my morning coffee go up my nose.
