  • I think after the military engagement with Pakistan and the fact that the S-400s and other Russian systems performed very well from the India side while the prospects of western cutting edge system procurement hasnt gotten any more likely in the last couple of years, India cant really join in on any major anti-russian action even if the Indian west loving capitalists would like to. Their military cooperation and future orders with Russia, especilly in air defenses or some prospctive launch back of modern fighter jet coproduction and joint venture, are pretty much the only constant and working thing in Indian military reality and i dont really think they are in position to throw it all out

  • Lots of fake Xi Quotes going around while he still has real bangers:

From the Central Urban Work Meeting:

“When it comes to launching projects, it’s always the same few things: artificial intelligence, computing power, and new energy vehicles. Is every province across the country supposed to develop industries in these exact directions?” General Secretary Xi Jinping said, viewing industrial planning from the perspective of “acting in accordance with objective laws,” pointing out the root issues in development: “We must firmly oppose formalism and bureaucratism, and also address the problem of pretending to understand when one doesn’t, and being self-opinionated. We must prevent the emergence of ‘three-pat’ cadres — those who pat their chest, pat their head, and pat their butt.”

  • They basically refused to adhere to any of the requests for autonomy within the Syrian state that the SDF was making, while acting like they ought to surrender, which given the experiences of Kurds in Syria was an impossible pill for them to swallow.

Sorry but seeing how the SDF took an even worse deal from the Jihadists than even what was presumed that Assad was open to through the last 4-5 years makes this blame game muddled. Seems like the SDF never actualy had the sovereignty and willingness to make such decisions without US approval and against US interests and presense. They were flown by CENTCOM hellicopters to sign surrender deal with Jolensky a month into the new government. Are you telling me that the roadblock to them signing a at worst just as bad deal with Assad was Assad himself and not US instuctions or the fact that a prerequisite for an Assad deal would be cutting ties with the US which SDF wasnt willing or didnt have the power to do? If its the latter what is the point of Assad offering good terms and deals to a group that wouldnt or couldnt stop their collaboration with the Great Satan?

  • At the end of the day 90% of the increasing doomerism, critique or negativity towards things, and china in particulalar is justifyiable anger about China’s relative innaction towards the genocide in palestine from people that are hopeless, living in countries that directly found and facilitate the genocide and not being able to square the China that they have been hopefull about as a socialist force of good with the extreme suffering that is allowed to so shamelessly happen. I dont have the answers here. Im just saying that the whole shift has little to do with any real shift in China’s own economic or developmental policy or even foreign policy compared to 1-2-3-5 years ago, or some slide back to neoliberalism or whatever. Any reasons one had to believe some years ago, after analysing China’s system and choices, that they are on the right path and are doing socialism and slowly solving their contradictions and overtaking the US and gaining in the balance of power etc etc they can find the same ones still being true and even more validated and clear. The sentiment driving and allowing that mood shift comes from the other stuff

As far as specific users go imma be honest, ever since i saw XHS buying and using some obvious anti-china slop stories like some Chinese sub(s) sinking sourced from some taiwanese tabloid and a single sexpat analyst to doom post, i cant take them too seriously about other matters either. You cant find those comments because XHS deletes everything and has changed like 5 accounts in two years but still despite that i have made some effort posts against some of their most “interesting” claims. But its increasinlgy meaningless to argue Pekingology but from a “find the neoliberalism” perspective based on assertions and stats that can be sourced, explained and used 5 different ways . Reality itself is and will bring the receipts. The reality im seeing isnt one that aligns with negative coverage of pretty much every single Chinese foreign, monetary or developmental choice that happened in the last 2-3 years (they have spoken favorably about things that happened before they started commenting, and things no one can deny like tech or industrial development but almost never about any contemporary choise or moves, and that favorable coverage of past moves is to say “Back then i actualy thought this and they were doing the good thing but i was naive and they libed up now”) and where every other US foreign or monetary policy move was a correct chess move for the empire. Sorry if thats presumptious but its increadibly easy to just dismiss super serious monetary analysis when i remember that they also intermittently post YT/ Twitter threads tier slop like this for years:

Over the past few months, China has experienced a political shakeup that has not occurred since the Cultural Revolution.

First, purge of the PLA high command (Li Shangfu still hasn’t resurfaced since his disappearance) and PLA’s Rocket Force chief replaced (Wang Houbin from PLA Navy replacing Xu Xisheng).

Meanwhile, the top echelons of PLA Rocket Force is being investigated for “corruption scandal” (Li Yuchao et al.)

    Foreign Minister Qin Gang sacked.

    Li Keqiang dead.

Finance Minister replaced (Lan Foan replacing Liu Kun)

Head of Central Bank replaced (Pan Gongsheng replacing Yi Gang)

Then there’s a rumor from Western media about a submarine incident in the Yellow Sea.

Xi’s political position is more precarious than ever. Biden has made incisive political, economic and financial offensives against China, and China is only starting to realize that de-dollarization is not so easy after all.

For now i will simply glance over a comment quickly, shrug and say to myself “meh, i’ll believe it when i see it”.

  • I have read from some PLA watchers that last time after the UN arms embargo ended and wasnt renewed deals with China werent made for a couple of reason. Yeah China being cautious about gulf states, israel and america freaking out was a reason (it was what 2019/2020?) but equaly important is that Iran, beyond being very unenthusiastic and flip floppy about joining sides and falling into chinas sphere of influence and also being difficult with the payment system or other possible geopolitical stuff they could offer China, they really wanted to attach Tech Transfer and co-production stuff to the deals. Also they didnt want to give air defense and air force built up a priority resources wise compared to the money and focus purring to missile program, nuclear program and proxis founding. Plus this was pre Ukraine war and they drifted towards Russian systems and deals.

Idk what China is open to giving them but assuming Iran acts with the desperation, commitment and urgency its position requires and ditch some of their delusions and offer and fasttrack some stuff in non military apsects im sure they can get some stuff.

  • No country pours military equipment into another country without the prospect of strong influence and alliance and without having a strategic reason to. Not even the ussr did in most cases. China didnt sell NK military shit because NK didnt want to. NK didnt want to because they have nukes and are extremely warry of increased chinese influence and have been since the mao years. They have a standing mutual defense pact with China already since the korean war. They have nukes. They get military shit from russia because Russia needed the cooperation and approached them. Also while yes China followed a lot of the sanctions for NK they dont that much in the last couple of years. And Iran had enough of a window where there were no weapons related sanctions against them for china to follow and not sell them previous generation shit. And it is proven that in aspects that really matter and that iran really needs like missilie components or oil sales China doesnt give much of a shit for iranian sanctions now

  • This whole thing goes to show how North Korea is the only non great power sovereign state and only communist states can be trusted to manuever these situations against imperialism.

The DPRK didnt want to be a chinese satelite state or allow significant Chinese influence, had no delusions regarding the west and wanted to chart its own geopolitical course secure from imperialism. So they built the fucking bomb. Even when China in peak post deng pre xi, WTO and West good mode was pissing and crying for them not to , even when they along with Putin’s dumbass joined in the sanctions. Even under the most vicious pressure from the country that had already genocided them. With literally no allies in the entire world. They put their heads down, suffered and persevered but they did it. They didnt have 5% of their population being SK agents with ATGMs hidden in their asses to sabotage them or a political sphere and elite dreaming about sending their kids to harvard and having swiss bank accounts. You guessed it, probably because they were communists.

They would have even done it even if the US carpet bombed them again and hundreds of thosuands were dying and did so without any guarantee that china would actualy help them in that situation despite having a paper somewhere saying they would. They would have turned Seoul into a parking lot with artillery until the last 30.000 people in Pyongyang bunkers and tunnels had a nuke button

And now they are reaping the benefits. Yes most of the world still shuning them and yes they under more pressure and attack than any country other than cuba can imagine. But the geopolitical events and changes created a situation where they can exercise their sovereigty and militarism to upgrade their technologies and energy access from co-benificial ties with russia and China also gives less of a shit to follow a bunch of sanctions they have been following ,and also doesnt want to be left behind in the russia-dprk bromance. And the future looks like more of that.

If they had a fraction of the brainworms iran had they would either be a smoking crater or a chinese dengifying vassal with its teeth taken out which doesnt sound that bad if you dont care about sovereignty between different socialist experiments and nations but whatever
