Holy crap, this map is awesome. They have the grills, picnic tables, even all the ski lifts on the ski hill.
Don’t care if the graphics look like they came from the 90s. I love the details

Yeah, when it takes 3 or 4 lakes of thatch to make a thatch roof, you only ever get one building.
The amount of stone required for bricks, the amount reed required for any sort of storage, the amount of sticks to power your kiln. There’s so much grinding for base materials that making anything pretty cuts so deep into your survival.
Leather in particular sucked because you needed borax or limestone or chalk. Took so long to find but it was the difficulty of building materials that drove me absolutely batty.
Was just about to recommend this. Really wish I could get a server of people playing it. Single player is ROUGH. It takes so much time and effort to build cool stuff in survival and there’s just not enough time to gather all the raw resources in a day.
God that split sucked it was the last straw for me.
I never made the rules. No swearing in school was always the rule.
Seems absolutely nutty to ban “love that for you” but apparently fuck is fine? No swearing is not up there.
Spent my whole High School career being passive aggressive, because swearing was the bridge too far.
If you can’t even be passive aggressive you may as well never leave your front door.
It’s such a bizarre list too.
They’re not cusses. What’s wrong with “love that for you”? I could’ve easily seen myself saying that in 2009, is the meaning vastly different than what I think?
Went perfect. Although I had a friend who went same weekend. It did NOT. Couldn’t peel the first layer of the eye.
Otherwise I have full 20/20 vision. No side affects.
It was so WEIRD though. I felt like I was on an assembly line. The process was so fast.
I did it because I was blind. Hella blind. -6 and -9. When covid hit I suddenly realized that if supply shortages ever hit hard and I lost my glasses, I was absolutely fucked.
I could not drive, I could not use two monitors, I would be functionally blind… I always joked I would be dead weight in the apocalypse but in the midst of a hurricane, a wildfire, I could be absolutely fucked. With months before a replacement pair could be acquired. And with all the shit that went wrong with covid… I just wanted to hedge my bets.
Yeah, his targets are usually so vile that nobody questions his methods.
For anybody that wants to be the punisher though… like honestly if the punisher has gotten pulled into a problem he’s less an angel descending from heaven and more of a fire burning through absolutely everything.
Like everything needs to be in a state of fucked for him to get involved. Absolutely fucked. Isn’t it better to avoid that in the first place?
That’s the reason I swapped.
So far it’s been a good switch
Besides the chemical addiction part, it’s also a genuinely social one as well.
Smoking areas are designated places where strangers talk to each other. Asking for a light or offering one is a super simple way to break the ice. My dad quit cold turkey several times but he always fell back into the habit hanging with his friends
Cheating is definitely in the minority of my social circle. I know of 2 amongst 100. At least people who were shameless enough to be admitting it.
That said, I do have maybe 5 open relationships in my friend group? I don’t usually ask, so maybe 10 total. My wife and I are monogamous. If you’re not, whatever, you do you. It isn’t a religious thing, it’s just how we roll.
But good lord at least talk about it, agree on it and stick with it. If you don’t then you’re a dick.

Muete comes close? They’ll do a lot of marching band covers of a lot of techno.
professional marching band, not like what you heard in 8th grade.
I’ve come to the opinion that searching for friends is the wrong way to go about it.
What I ended up doing was finding events. I went to absolutely anything that I wasn’t 100% certain I wasn’t gonna hate. Every event I went to, I made a goal of finding another event to go to. I just played event hopscotch. I went from an auto show, to a horror convention, to a firebreathing co-op, to an anime convention, to another anime convention (I found I really liked conventions).
It’s a great conversation starter
It’s a great way to learn about your city
It’s a great way to start getting stories to tell.
I remember watching those as a kid. I immediately decided then and there that nothing could be trusted in a commercial. BK was by far the most egregious example.
With burgers in particular, I remember them cutting a slit in the back of the patty just so they could stretch it out off camera to make it look bigger.
total bullshit.
No it’s the king of textures.
Stumbled across Ben Caplan over the weekend and I’ve kinda been addicted

You know, I’ve only ever had anime do that to me. I will struggle to finish any other medium but damn does an anime keep me until the end most times. Even if it’s not “good” I think it’s just so pretty I’ll live with it most times.
It has to be truly, god awfully bad before I go “nope I ain’t doin’ this”
I remember watching this ping pong anime and it wasn’t that great, still finished it. I also wasn’t that engrossed in Angel beats but still watched it to completion.
I’m actually planning a twoshot of DC20 next week. So hopefully I will be able to do just that.
From everything I’ve been reading I’ve liked quite a bit, hopefully it works just as well in practice.
