Based on the narrator’s actions they did not appreciate being called “a man”. The mom was therefore an asshole for that implication.

The narrator is an asshole because the mom needed help, and they were in a position to help, but they refused to.

(BTW, I personally don’t know enough about either person, so I’m not going to cast judgement)

The quality of the search depends on which app you use and how it prioritizes search results, right? I know this is a bit of a tired argument, bit since CoMaps is open-source, you could submit a patch, or at least a bug report.

I’ve encountered the same behaviour on Google Maps on occasion, too.

The other way around also has a false assumption in it. OK, maybe bees don’t have the concept if skill so much, but birds most certainly do judge singing/dancing skill (when selecting mates).

I think maybe they were thinking pre-modern history? But even now, people do dance and sing around campfires, and ‘arts and crafts’ exist which is a pretty low judgement activity.
