I run all AMD but this is a sad trend for everyone. Intel has been very good to linux over the years and AMD has a lot of catching up to do to have the same kind of influence in linux.

With the amount of ray-traced reflections in the game, I doubt the ps5 with the previous gen amd gpu can even hit 40fps with a 1440 render resolution. It would probably have to drop to 1080 or less. It’s definitely going to be game that will be best played on pc.
Isn’t GTA6 targeting 30fps for the base PS5?
You seem to be looking for conflict, I don’t see a good reason to oblige. Have a nice day.
Poor choice of words on my part. Should’ve said better.
Going in search of info is harder than asking for it to come to you imho.
I would say that’s the opposite of the easy path compared to the current approach, but I can respect the rest.
Wouldn’t it be easier better to read !selfhosted@lemmy.world, /t/selfhosted on mastodon, watch selfhosting youtubers…etc?
I wouldn’t call Fedora bleeding edge and they were also affected.
Interesting. So it’s still an issue on latest stable kernel but we don’t know what the exact cause is.
Glad to see you got it fixed. Just out of curiousity, when was your last update before today and what kernel version were you on pre and post update?
Increased reports since 6.15.3 of corruption within the log tree
Seems like a btrfs bug. Bunch of links in that thread with similar reports and screenshots. They also include the suggested fix.
Taken from https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp. Replace 480 with 1080. Multiple options in the documentation to choose from.
Download the best video available with the largest height but no better than 480p, or the best video with the smallest resolution if there is no video under 480p
$ yt-dlp -S "height:480"

The 50 series cards are pretty efficient and don’t have the transient spikes issue of the 30 series. You can get away with having a lower wattage PSU that is closer to your actual requirement instead of 40-50% headroom that used to be suggested.
I use Steam only for games purchased from Steam and Heroic for Epic, GOG, etc…
Heroic makes it much easier to manage games. Custom prefixes for each game with winetricks, mangohud checkbox, environment variables and so on. If the interface was better/modern with some sort of tabbed layout, I would use it for my Steam games as well.
I agree with the general sentiment but saying he’s had it easy while dealing with the tariff debacle and the ongoing economic fallout and constantly shifting goalposts is debatable.
Personally, I want to see where we are by the time the mid terms roll around.
So HU are fudging the numbers to favor …?
Is that based on the assumption that the numbers come from single runs instead of averages of multiple runs?
It’s possible the situation has changed to a degree where AMD overtook Intel in the intervening years, but I think we would’ve seen some headlines if that was the case. I couldn’t find any reliable sources either way.
As someone who has no allegiance to either company, I really want Intel to turn things around and be a strong competitor again so that we can all benefit from their resources in the open source space.
