You know what, I have been learning a lot since I joined Lemmy. I didn’t even know this was a communist space, it just pops up in my feed a lot. I didn’t mean to agitate anyone, just here trying to learn. I don’t blame you, I guess my original comment was a bit of a dumb question.

I just found out 88 is a Nazi symbol last week, and I saw someone else say people usually change their names when they find out. But I don’t want to do that. Maybe it’s misguided, but I feel like if I change my name then that gives them more power over the number. I’ve had to defend this name a few times now so I guess I’m becoming attached, ha. I won’t let them have it.

I’m not changing. They can change. This is my name; it is a poorly made reference to the show Home Movies which nobody will get but me, and I like the number 88. I just found out about this dog whistle shit like last week and it pissed me off. I thought about changing my name after, but then I said no, fuck that. I’m not changing. They don’t get to bastardize the number 88 which is a fun, positive number. It’s like infinity repeating. I love it. They can suck my fat hairy balls.

Yeah I’m not renaming my account. I like the number 88 and I’m keeping it. I am not a Nazi, and happy to clear up any misunderstanding.

My username has nothing to do with Nazis, they don’t have a monopoly on the number 88. I was curious why she would say something like this is all. I’m not infecting Lemmy with Nazi propaganda, don’t worry.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend?

I dunno. I actually think about this sometimes. I’d like to think I’d be friendly, but it depends on how everything went for me leading up to wherever I end up. If I lost my entire family, I would probably become pretty hostile towards everything. If I wound up in a big safe place with lots of supplies and people, I’d probably be more friendly, but also wary of anyone new.

This is such a cliche life story; single mom with deadbeat dad, married into a wealthy family, the child from the first relationship has a hard time adjusting to the new life and does bad stuff. Not really unique to a royal family. I bet the Queen is not happy though. I hope he is prosecuted to the fullest extent of their laws.

Side note: it’s crazy that we still even have royal families. Why haven’t we just eaten these families and spread their wealth around? Seems like such an ancient relic, considering a family to be ‘royal’.

SO much creativity! The options were endless. I remember trying my hand at using the map builder to make my own custom map, but it was so hard. I remember thinking, these were made by other players like me?? No way, haha.

WC3 custom maps were so fun man. There were all sorts of random ass games you could play. Of course there was DoTA which speaks for itself, but I remember playing like DBZ and Naruto story themed games that were fun too. And all the different tower defenses… I have been wanting to play a good TD for a long time and haven’t been able to find anything that compares to what they were like back then. LAN parties were peak.

I have to do this because I have a hard time conceptualizing things when I’m staring at a blank page. I don’t know where to start, so it helps.
