For fucks sake, can we just get releases that have separate audio tracks for dialogue, music, and effects that we the viewer can decide how we want to hear it?
Video games figured this out
I don’t want the explosions to be so loud that it wakes my entire house.
Ministry of propaganda.
They could restore the fairness doctrine instead, but that would hurt fox, newsmax, and oan so much they won’t even consider it.
“a bottle of champagne”?
Jesus. I will be black out drunk from the case(s) I’ll be opening. I’ll celebrate in the fucking streets with everyone until I physically can’t anymore.
Polling company Cygnal. If you go to their website their clients are all Republican organizations. Pretty much ALL of their clients are Republican.
That doesn’t seem like they are impartial at all.
Mean, mode, or median?
What’s the standard deviation look like?
The prison firefighters all volunteer for that detail. From what I understand, it’s one of the harder details to get on.
But don’t dehumanize prisoners with such a broad brush. They are all people too, and when they see someone in dire need, they are still people and will more than likely help.
But woodland firefighting is very much clearing brush and creating fire lines with literal hand tools. Hoes, chainsaws, and shovels and their primary tools. This isn’t a position where firefighters are going into burning buildings looking for injured or trapped people.
I’ve lived in both. The generally colder environments with high humidity are worse than adding 10-15° and having low humidity.
I think raytracing is fine for games that want a lot of realism. But I’m playing games with monsters and fantasy. My suspension of disbelief isn’t going to break because reflections aren’t quite right.
But I’m pretty much in the camp of, I want my games to look and feel like games. I like visual cues like highlighting items I can interact with or pick up. So lighting is always non-realistic.
It could be things like the paint peeling off. So it could be flown to a place with the proper setup to paint a plane.
I offer tree fiddy.
As a former player, I will honor it’s legacy and “win” letting CCP management focus on Eve while blocking all the pointless crypto shit.
In response to a Guardian inquiry about whether Ice had no obligation to inform families and attorneys of a detainees status, a spokesperson for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) replied, “that is correct”. Ice did not respond to other questions about the case, including whether officers had a warrant or any documentation of a criminal record for Sotelo.
Just straight disappearing people.
Arm and protect yourselves.
Oh man. I had some good times with bomber bar. Both joining them and baiting them.
I loved taking a rorq out with a massive tank and a full rack of smart bombs. Blowing up an entire fleet at once was so satisfying.
Or really knew how to manage their one game. They did something really cool, and then it reached its end game and had no idea what to do when that happened.
They add more ships, over and over, but more ships became harder and harder to balance. They changed resource allocation so it was less necessary to fight for space. They changed mechanics so people lost less. But it’s largely a game of wealth acquisition and when people don’t lose as much you have inflation and everyone had the end game toys.
They added a half dozen different currencies for different things. They added daily quests. They added login rewards.
Their end game was people fighting each other for space they controlled. But they never were able to deal with when everyone just sort of… Made pacts and stopped fighting over space. They never really, truly dealt with n+1 being the solution. They only made it where that became the necessity.
I’ve played for over a decade and while I haven’t logged in in a while, I still have an account.
Flat pack furniture. Everything being reduced to the cheapest to make and cheapest to ship.
Everything being extruded, quickest to make crap is getting ridiculous. Even the expensive stuff looks like IKEA.
I miss craftsmanship and artistry.
People wildly underestimate how good modern cars car be. While driving across country in my gfs accord we ended up on a gravel mountain road for several miles. It was so much damn fun, but she was anxious the whole time saying how it wasn’t designed for it.
It was a wide, maintained road. We could easily go 35 to 40 mph. It would have for 4 or 5 cars side by side and the whole time we were on it we saw only like 6.
The story has good moments, and I loved the game play.
But the motivation for both Ellie and Abby has always been the weakest point for me. And that translated into the show. Both being driven by essentially only vengeance left me with a lot to desire. I didn’t particularly like the periods where I had to play as Abby because I didn’t think she had anything exciting to make me like her.
Without that initial drive the rest felt like it didn’t have a good foundation. Especially when the first had so much driving Joel and Ellie to reach the fireflies.
I really like the soundtrack to Suikoden. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but it’s one of the better ones for me.
And lunar silver star story is pretty good too.
