Mine too. I guess they left it out of the graphic for dogs though.

What about Adam’s or Sliwa? Cuomo thinks less of the democratic candidate than he does of republican candidate or the guy who’s gotten caught taking bribes and is now a trump suck-up to avoid being prosecuted.
“Wants another legal bribe”
Ah yeah, both good points. The bagging areas are always too small and badly positioned.
Yeah, that’s my point; I’m never going to memorize those, so I’ll never be as fast as a cashier.
They may have a search by name, but by the time I hit the produce button, then the search by name button and start keying in the name, a cashier could have rung up two things.
For OTC it happened the other day, just to buy NyQuil at cvs.
Oh, I guess our produce checkout system is different; that definitely seems like more of a 1:1. For the grocery stores in my area, we just bag up what we want and the cashier puts in the code and weighs it up at checkout time. It’s much faster for them to do it since they usually have the codes memorized or at least know where it is on their cheat sheet.
You must not buy a lot of produce, gift cards or otc medicine; the self checkout is slower every time I have to buy any of these things and it’s given some companies (cvs, Walgreens) a reason to make their employees who would otherwise be working the register do other things and leave the front of the store almost completely unstaffed every time I go in there. Now I have to use a self checkout to buy something I know they need a person there for and then stand around like an idiot waiting for the cashier to come and assist.
If it’s a grocery store and I have even a moderate amount of produce, I don’t have the codes memorized and there’s no bar codes on it, so I have to find everything I’m buying on their checkout machine. Something else inevitably doesn’t scan or the bagging area detector freaks out about something and then I have to completely stop what I’m doing and wait for an employee to come and scan their card.
It has made it a lot easier to steal things though and with the terrible experience that comes with these things, I’m not far from doing.
I’m glad he’s saying it, but it’d be nice if he fucking put the time and effort in to figure this out before the election like we all did. This wasn’t a secret, it was practically plastered on billboards.
It’s pretty palpable for me and I totally agree that this isn’t news that should normally be coming from the USA. I’m in a blue state but definitely feel like everything is unraveling fast around the country.
NPR is not a government entity and the executive branch punishing the press because the truth hurts the president’s feelings sets a disastrous precedent.
Funding is not guaranteed by the first amendment, but trump retaliating against them because he doesn’t like their content is a violation of free speech and that’s what the lawsuit is alleging. From the article: “The Order’s objectives could not be clearer: the Order aims to punish NPR for the content of news and other programming the President dislikes and chill the free exercise of First Amendment rights by NPR and individual public radio stations across the country.”
This has been teetering for a while, but trump definitely pushed us over the edge.
Who is buying the products from those corporations though? I totally agree that the problem is caused by corporations but afaik there are only two ways to get them to make better choices: governmental regulation or avoid buying products from the bad offenders. Regulation can only go so far when all the companies have factories in another country. Individuals need to avoid buying products from those companies and shift to the ones that are more environmentally conscious, but that means having an informed populace that has extra money to spend, so we’re fucked.
Fake skin color, fake cotton candy hair and no soul behind his stupid eyes.
I think we’re past using “begin” at this point.
It’s a great point that even though Biden showed some of the same signs, he had competent people in his cabinet to mitigate the effects, which is something that Trump doesn’t have since he stupidly stacked his cabinet with sycophants. Biden also seemed like he was a reasonable person who would take advice from people in his cabinet (maybe not so much about stepping aside in time though). Trump is not a reasonable person and makes decisions based on his gut, which means we’re in a terrible situation if he does have dementia.
