1 month agoI’ve been waiting to see what Linux support there is for ARM laptops. For now, I’m thinking I’ll take a chance with the Asahi project on M2 Macbook.

1·1 month agoI was going to grab an M2 MBP for this reason! Why such a battery life difference? Can you expound upon that AARCH64 reasoning? Does the hardware work as claimed on the project website? Do you have a sense of what the future holds for asahi?

6·3 months agoThat’s actually great info! Confirming freemasons are jerks. I don’t have the first-hand experience to know this. Unless you can correlate time and place… maybe it’s the bars’ fault that lets out at the harassment site?
Related side note, I once visited my fraternity’s house at a different school. Knew all the secret info etc. They weren’t kind at the door, and wouldn’t let me in for the rager I could hear behind the door. So much for promises & solidarity

2·4 months agoWhen the term first came out, I assumed from pure speculation, there was a little tray you add oil to, and it would control temperature so as to lightly aerosolize the oil thereby “deep frying” but only with enough oil to do the job while also not letting it combust. If this is possible, and I don’t think such control is, then it sounds like a useful kitchen appliance. Instead I got got by marketing 😡
