  • I don’t think that AI necessarily replaces thinking.

I think it replaces calculation and cogitation, which are each respectively important portions of thinking, but are not thinking in and of themselves.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an AI bro. I don’t think it’s necessarily a good thing, but I think that AI is a tool, and as such, it has its uses, just like auto-tune, and digital recording, and computer art programs like Photoshop and Krita.

Honestly, I have yet to hear a single argument against AI that will still be valid in 25 years.

People are still going to think.

People are still going to make art.

People are still going to make music.

People are still going to write, and tell stories.

AI is just going to be one of the tools they use to do those things.

It’s going to help unskilled people do things that currently require skill with ease.

And that’s not a bad thing, in and of itself.

  • I will abolish all nations.

I will eliminate all debts that occurred prior to me taking office.

I will execute everybody who had a personal fortune greater than the equivalent of $10 million, and redistribute their wealth to the poor as a one time redistribution of wealth.

I will institute a planetary currency called the credit where one credit is the value of one hour of unskilled labor, and I will make minimum mandatory multipliers on that value based off of education and time in duty.

I will also make it so that everybody on the planet has a minimum of six weeks of paid vacation every year. And if they do not take it, they need to submit a letter in writing to their local community office justifying why they did not take their vacation.

Taxes will pay for all medical care worldwide. No one will pay a penny at the hospital.

  • The neuro-sama thing is interesting, but I hope that everyone involved realizes that it is not about our fascination with an AI girl playing games and chatting.

It’s more like it’s a convenient excuse for interesting people to all collaborate together and do fun things.

If they were to completely remove the human element from Neuro-sama, she would cease to be interesting very, very quickly.

  • I’ve never made this specific effect before, but it kind of sounds like…

First, they ran the vocals through a telephone eq filter

Then there’s either going to be a glitch effect on the vocals, or maybe there’s some sort of fade that is connected to a trigger so that they can get the rapid cutout of the vocals.

There used to be this really great free plugin that was a VST that added randomized glitch effects to whatever track you played it on and I couldn’t tell you the name of it, I just, I remember it being “glitch 1.3”, and it had made sounds similar to these, Which is why I’m thinking glitch effect, but I don’t know who made the glitch VST or where you can find it now.

I think on the StrxwberryMilk one, they then actually put an echo effect over the clipped vocals afterwards

  • My question here is why hasn’t anybody come up with a solution?

It is a known problem that the current large payment processors do not want to work with adult themed companies.

It is also known that regardless of that, there will always be adult themed companies and they will handle a lot of money.

It is also known that processing payments for reliable companies that handle adult themes is a very profitable venture.

So, why is it that there are no payment processors that will work with these companies?

I thought we lived in a capitalistic society where the market would decide whether or not something was valuable.

  • One thing that has always troubled me about that episode, ever since I went on a watch through several years ago, was he said the phrase “the buffalo is off the nickel”, and in context, I’m assuming that it meant something along the lines of believing something that isn’t true, but since we don’t use buffalo nickels anymore, that phrase has exited common parlance, and it threw me for a loop to hear old slang.

  • I remember when people used to complain about the annoyance and difficulty inherent in keeping up with the Joneses, and yet it seems like we have learned nothing as a society.

If you’re gonna spend $500 on a Switch 2 because you want little Billy to be able to play the newest latest games so that his friends won’t think he’s a weirdo, then you’re in for a penny, you’re in for a pound, fucking shell out.

But if you just want little Billy to have some games to play to keep himself active and interested and, you know, not spiraling into drug addiction and depression, because apparently that’s the only alternative to being a gamer, you could buy them like a really nice 200 some odd dollar Anbernic handheld that comes pre-installed with, you know, 5,000 video games and let him play that.

And if his friends complain about how he can’t play the latest Switch 2 Mario Kart game, you tell billy to tell them to go suck a dick while he’s 100%ing Majora’s Mask.

If you know what I’m talking about then the specific (left/liberal/whatever) label isn’t as important. It’s that group of people who have a general idea that things should be fair and equal for everyone but have clearly defined groups of people that are more equal than others.

Its those people who treat middle aged and older white guys like shit online and cheer when bad things happen to them as soon as they find out they are wealthy or republican. They laugh when a person gets deported because their spouse voted for trump. They dogpile on the shitty comments and hateful rhetoric as soon as someone says something that identifies that person as not being in line with the current politic and cheer when well intentioned potential allies who made an oopsie get destroyed.

I get it, it’s revenge, its personal outrage with a good reason leaking out of people who have been hurt, but it’s too indiscriminate and unable to attempt communication before condemnation.

Like the outrage over Hilary Clinton calling trump supporters a basket of deplorables. They are, and I hate them, each and every one of them, with a passion. I would gladly watch them all drown knowing that I am in arms reach to save them like a Phil Collins song.

But… Hillary did not have the communication skills, the charisma, the charm, or the backing of the people to pull that off in a meaningful way. She hit a hornets nest with a stick when she should have left it alone. Now, 10 years later they still proudly call themselves deplorable and intentionally do deplorable things in part because they have accepted the moniker.

Hillary didn’t cause the problem, but she gave it a name and a banner and a rallying cry from a position of untouchable smugness with a personal feeling of superiority and we have been paying for that one sentence for a decade now with no sign of it stopping.

My only problem with the point this image is making, is that it doesn’t matter if we are supportive or dismissive.

They’re still, as a whole, as a group, going to be terrible people.

Compassion fatigue is a real thing, and while I don’t want anything bad to happen to anyone, you can only save somebody from themselves so many times before you realize they’re going to do bad things and nothing can stop them.

I get where you’re coming from and it’s probably one of the biggest things that alienates me from the left.

Don’t get me wrong, I still vote for and support leftist policies, but I personally find many of the people who also vote for leftist policies to just be generally terrible people when you put them into a group.

For some reason they tend to go crabs in a bucket and start hating on and shitting on everything and only really rejoicing when people on the right suffer, And while I can comprehend why that happens, I can’t ally myself with that portion of the left.

For me, the most annoying thing is when something gets a little bit better.

Inevitably, a leftist will pop out and complain how it’s not perfect, how it’s not good enough, and how stupid it is. It’s the most annoying thing on the planet.

When things got better, and things are on the mend, like, celebrate the successes, fuck.

Jelita means guts/the intestines, melina means lol, it’s a place where people from the so-called margin of society live and hide in order to consume alcohol or do drugs. Morenka doesn’t really mean anything in Polish tbh. Could be a name of some town maybe. Biegunka… lol, that’s diarrhea. Popitka is a type of a chaser you drink right after consuming an alcoholic beverage (usually vodka), some sort of a juice, just to kill the unpleasant taste of alcohol. Padlina = carrion. Margaryna = cheap form of butter. Zmora can mean a ghost, nightmare, bane, depending on the context. Perwersja = perversion, pretty self explanatory lol. Kredens = cupboard. Traktor = tractor…like the one a farmer would use. Warzywniak = it’s a small local grocery store, usually selling veggies and fruit only. Majonez = mayo. Kostnica = lol… that’s a morgue. Kila = syphilis. Kretyn = moron, idiot. Dekiel = could also mean an idiot, but also a cover or lid. Laweta = tow truck. Fagata… that’s a stage name of Agata Fak, polish women’s MMA fighter.
