Hello, my name’s Allen. I’m here to share my various train photos, news, and advocacy.
Focused mainly on British Columbia and Ontario, Washington and Oregon states but sometimes I will post a couple other adventures from where I’ve gone!

Sorry in advance folks, I couldn’t figure out how to make a Link Post from Mastodon.
Also frightening is Trump’s reaction to this on Truth Social, casually referring to himself as king:
“CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING!”
This one is interesting. The Abt system is only between two stations on a steep grade and a separate locomotive shunts with the train, not shown here.
The picture is of the beautiful and unique station that is located on top of the bridge.
I’ve ridden this one, and I would recommend earplugs if you have sensitive ears.
@edgemaster72
Yes! May you see it? No (come back tomorrow).
P.S.: If anyone has any tips to get Lemmy link posts to work from Mastodon, please enlighten me. Thanks.

The RailDriver train simulator controller only has official Windows support.
After reading the technical documentation from the makers, I cobbled together a “driver” that reads input messages then puts it out as a virtual device like an xbox controller.
With two translation layers, and with calibration required every time, I am able to play TrainSimWorld with it, because out of the box it can’t seem to recognize it.
