  • How did it go again… “I know pornography when I see it.”, wasn’t it?

Which, honestly, is actually rather impressive as far as non-answers to things in general go in that it not only made the speaker simultaneously sound both like a condescending prick AND some sort-of super creepy dude who is waaaay too into porn, all while assuring us that these qualities gave them the necessary authority to… Identify porn, I guess? Ya know, like that wood book fellow

  • This was honestly what I was more inclined to believe, though I also know that I don’t have enough information about the subject to have a truly informed opinion… It was my understanding, however, that despite all their grandiose claims aren’t LLMs (at least, our current models anyway) essentially ‘ranked choice’ dialogue trees, sort of, where the next word is determined by statistical likelihood of X word being next based on the input and what material it has been trained on? Or am I wrong?

  • Wait, wat? I’m a cis straight white dude (but like waaay waaaaaay politically left - not like, american left either, real left - which I’m pretty sure cancels some of that out, but anyway) but purple has always been my favorite color by far… Does this mean I’ve gotta go back to the drawing board, so to speak? Lol Cuz I’m willing to compromise… I could see myself like indigo adjacent, perhaps…

  • So, I never really watched anything on YouTube until recently when I stumbled into some true crime rabbit holes and ended up finding my way there. Anyway, I kept noticing frequent audio cutouts and upon paying closer attention I realized the creators were intentionally censoring certain words (like sexual assault, suicide, rape, etc) as they found if they didn’t their videos would end up randomly removed - sometimes after weeks or even months had passed without incident- delisted (essentially) from recommendation algorithms, or simply inexplicably demonitized. This also seems to happen if certain figures are mentioned, such as (though certainly not limited to) the likes of Marilyn Monroe, suspected/known members of a variety of child trafficking and CSAM rings that operated in Europe throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s, and on, and - as you may’ve surmised by this point - Jeffery Epstein.

Do with that what you will.

  • I’m not the person you asked, but if i had to venture a guess (and you’re genuinely asking lol) id say it’s probably a combination of a few factors, like the derivative nature of the premise, the excessive 'try hard" vibe, the unsteady, ‘too far, too fast’ escalation to an aburdly boring and low stakes ‘endgame’… I dunno, mix and match from there as you like i guess? Lol
