You mean when you let people work less for the same pay they’re happier? I would never imagine that, such a “dramatic” result.

I mean if he’s genuinely interested in learning Unity and just using AI to help with learning that’s good, but yeah if he’s just making the AI do all the work and relying on it then yeah probably not gonna go good.
Yeah I would say run as an independent socialist or run with an already existing group in your area. I joined DSA as they’re the main socialists/labor force in my area that runs candidates and wins. But yeah while I’m biased towards saying you should join them you should really just find whatever group has momentum in your area and work with them. Or if there is nothing like that in your area (since you said you’re in a red area) then running as an independent could be pretty effective if you have the resources to do it since you can push socialist talking points that resonate with people without being labeled a socialist. But yeah at the end of the day you’re gonna need to meet people and make connections with people if you want to run so either you can get the resources you need to run or at the very least know people who will help you with door knocking and phone banking.
Something something a lot of people falling for talking points put forward by people invested in commercial real estate because if companies start going fully remote the value of commercial real estate will collapse. Combine that with a mix of people who own these companies also being invested in commercial real estate so it’s self serving and companies just in general wanting to have more control over employees.
I mean I feel like it’s less conservatives in general not having media literacy and just people in general not having media literacy. Even liberals will watch stuff like Andor and still not understand the deeper messages it has about resistance. At the end of the day it’s just a general lack of education especially in America.
They definitely want to make those prisons into essentially a pit they can throw people into to never return. That way they can do whatever they want to the people there and no one will really be able to say for sure what is happening.
I mean generally if a company releases their game on a new console years after the original game came out it does include the DLC and is like a definitive edition. At least that’s how I remember it used to be when I actually bought console games.
We just need better science and tools with which to measure more precise levels of gayness.
I mean I think a lot of it is that at least in America when it comes to Math a lot of the teaching is more about how to use specific formulas and apply them to certain kinds of problems. They don’t really teach you what it is you’re actually doing or why you’re doing it. It just turns into recognizing a type of problem and applying a certain tool to it rather than understanding what that tool is and what it does.
I mean building out renewable energy still has a negative impact on the environment, whether it be silicon for solar panels or concrete for hydro electric dams. Not to mention all the water that gets used to cool the massive data centers or the materials needed to create the computer components used in the data center. So sure you could lessen the environmental impact by shifting to renewables but it would definitely still be there. Reducing usage will always be the best way to help the environment, there’s a reason it comes first in Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
I mean yeah if you’re grading on a curve he might be more up there but if you’re looking at it objectively as whether he did good or bad things I think he definitely did a lot of bad things, just like almost every president, which was the main point the comment above was making. I think we deserve better but it’s gonna take a lot of fighting against corporate interests to really get there.
Yeah I think they have something similar where I live but I think you have to be an older person or have a disability to be able to use it. Which I think is great for those groups as they are the groups that would have more trouble with biking. But I feel like for a lot of other people if you’re not in super rural areas biking is probably a better solution both for the environment and for your own health.
I mean considering the amount of people deported under his terms in office and the normalization of drone strikes he created I would say yeah, he was a bad president, not anywhere near as bad as Trump but still pretty bad. And that’s before you get into him capitulating to the establishment of the Democratic party on things like Obama care getting heavily watered down and just in general losing his progressive edge as soon as he took office.
But bikes solve the last mile problem that people tend to have with busses and trains. Plus they’re useful for shorter trips that wouldn’t really make sense for a bus or train. So giving better infrastructure to encourage that would definitely help even in a situation where you’re taking other forms of transit. As well as with how suburban America is it allows people to get out of the suburbs at a fairly good speed to get to public transit hubs or to stores.
That’s why you need it in combination with public transit. Even if it’s 90-100 degrees I can go for a bike ride for at least 10 minutes as long as I can keep moving and keep the air blowing on me. And I’m not even really in good shape. So as long as you can bike to a bus or train stop in a fairly short time, then hop on that where there’s air conditioning, then ride for a while, and eventually take another short bike ride to your work, then it should be fine. Of course during heat waves having a car as back up is definitely good or just to use during the hotter months also works and would go a long way to reducing green house gas emissions from either driving an ICE car or from the energy you use for your electric car.
I mean I think calling it reeducation is just a way meant to make it sound scary. What it really needs to be branded as is educating people who didn’t receive a proper education growing up as their school wasn’t funded well enough or they lived in a red state where funding was a problem on top of bad curriculums. I think that issue is primarily what’s led to our current state of affairs, underfunding of education and the limiting of higher education behind paying for college have led to a less educated America that falls for people like Trump.
It’s almost like if you educate the youth better through better funding of schools and better curriculums that it will become harder and harder for people to fall for this kind of propaganda. There’s a reason heavy red states have some of the worst education and public schools and those in power there want to keep it that way. It’s the same reason they go after the Department of Education, they want to limit access to education to only the wealthy so that the masses are easier to control with propaganda and fake news, so the response should be mass education campaigns. Killing them if anything just gives them more excuse to use the military and other things on you without at least some pushback. Self defense is one thing but saying half the country needs to be killed is entirely different.
I mean spaghetti code is a part of learning a new tool, my first Unity projects I did back in highschool have some really bad spaghetti code. I’ve since learned from then and found better ways to organize things to avoid that. But yeah if you’re just letting AI write your spaghetti you’re not gonna understand why it’s bad and that prevents learning what you can do better next time.
