Wow, that was a little strong given the subject. I’m not sure what I did to deserve being cussed at when I was just talking about electric kettles. Especially since I said I do use a kettle myself.

One reason that some Americans microwave water rather than use a kettle is that our electricity is half the power of UK electricity. It takes a lot longer for an electric kettle to boil here. That said, I do use a kettle when boiling water for tea.

This is the most important question that should be getting blasted everywhere. At this point, with no proof to the contrary, it seems like this should be labeled a kidnapping and law enforcement should be assisting in his recovery.

Why? Bringing these students here and training them means that we get to keep some of the brightest students China has to offer. I forsee the auto industry fighting this tooth and nail. They invested in EVs for many reasons, but partially because the tax credit is there. Pulling the tax credit now will be yet another blow against the auto industry.

My guess at how this plays out is that they’ll drop the tax credit, then spend even more on corporate subsidies.

In this case, he is saying that the IPCC has said the exact opposite of what the IPCC has said. He is lying about something that can be found in black and white in the IPCC reports.
