First it’s the homeless and the “mentally ill,” then being LGBTQ+ will be considered a mental illness, then your beliefs and opinions will be considered a mental illness. They already declared Trump Derangement Syndrome as a mental illness. It doesn’t matter if you are a straight white male, you should be scared and fighting back.

The Nazis didn’t start with death camps, that was just their final solution after other methods of removing people they didn’t like weren’t efficient enough. And not all concentration camps were death camps. Some of them were just there to hold “undesirables.”

This whole age verification thing is going to destroy the modern internet as we know it today. Mark my words, but I have a feeling that if government issued IDs become a necessary component to access these platforms worldwide I cannot see these platforms surviving long term. People already don’t trust these platforms.

Damn, you know what they should do to combat this? Keep trying to be centrist and ignore their actual base while trying to get more republicans to vote for them.

For real though, there’s more than a 4th of the population that doesn’t vote that’d be easier to convince to vote for them than republicans.

The world is because the internet is controlled by people that want to manipulate global perspectives and anti-LGBTQ+ ideals are one of the ways they make people fight each other instead of them. People always blame things like influencers but you have to remember that the platforms they are on have been incentivising hate for over a decade.

Took them fucking long enough. And it’s not that they finally realized it, it’s that it’s too big to ignore now because they let it go this far. You wouldn’t need to report on starving Palestinians and genocide if you didn’t literally deny it for years. This is what being complacent does.

So she’s like 90% of politicians? Don’t get me wrong, I get it. I’m definitely not as much of a fan of her after this just like everyone else, but I’ve seen people making death threats and calling her the worst things imaginable. To me this is starting to sound more and more like a parasocial type situation where they think that because she’s popular on social media that she’s their friend when in reality she’s just doing what politicians do. I mean, even though Bernie Sanders has been trying to advocate for Palestinians he also refuses to call it a genocide and still gets crazy support.

Alright, if that’s the case then you should hold everyone in the house and senate to the same standards because they are all doing this. You say it’s not based on vibes yet I bet you can’t even name half the people in the house that voted for it without looking it up. Why does she have higher standards than the rest of them?

I’m just saying you need to pick your battles. Whether you like it or not, AOC is still one of the best chances to end this when you look at the entirety of the US government. Why make an enemy at this stage?

Well, this was pretty much Kamala’s stance on the issue yet millions in the US had no problem voting for her, and those that did take a stand against her decided fascism in the US was a good compromise. I’m not saying she’s right and I’m just as pissed at her for her vote. I’m just saying that shortsightedness accomplishes next to nothing. The only thing being pissed off at AOC accomplishes is making the other side, and Israel itself, more powerful in the long run. And we are actively going after AOC specifically and not even holding all the other people that voted for it accountable.

And people should. But they would’ve got the money anyway so why are we specifically pissed off at her but not anyone else in the house? Seriously, give it a week and everyone will still be pissed at AOC specifically while everyone else that voted for it will be out of the public eye.

Every politician in the entire US is straddling the fence or actively on the other side. The fact that people are drawing a line on AOC is kinda silly when she’s actively trying to help people in the US while most Democrats are being complacent at best. I get that people feel betrayed, but if you expect politicians to be perfect all the time you will always fall flat. It reminds me of when Kamala didn’t make a stance on the issue and people decided not to vote for her based upon it. And look where that got us.

Everyone is so ready to drop her based on vibes so quickly that it kinda shines a light on why progressives fail. They could do a million things you agree with, but as soon as they do one thing you don’t like they are immediately the devil. They are held up to such high standards that it’s basically impossible to do everything right. I’m not saying her decision was correct or that her reasoning is correct. What I’m saying is that she is still one of the only politicians actively going against the encroaching fascism and oligarchy.

Like, I get it. Every single time I see Israel getting more money it pisses me off on a deep level. But I’m not going to hate someone for one of their decisions in a swimming pool of the exact opposite. Trump could shoot someone in broad daylight and be in the Epstein files and still have a base yet we hold our side up to such high expectations that we’d alienate them if they made a faux pas during an interview.

Maybe stop expecting everyone to be perfect and exactly what you want them to be and lower your fucking expectations a bit. She’s still trying to fight for you while everyone else is doing exact the opposite.

Edit: Based upon the fact that most of y’all are saying that I’m defending genocide kinda proves my point. We should absolutely be angry at what’s going on over there and we should never defend people that support genocide. But at the same time you should maybe direct your anger towards something productive instead of lashing out at people over the internet. Join a protest, advocate for ending support to Israel, and keep bringing up the issue and make it stay relevant. But don’t think for a second that your anger will accomplish anything in a vacuum. This was literally one of her talking points 3 months ago and y’all have forgotten it in your anger. And maybe if you’re expecting people to just “be better” you should probably be prepared to be disappointed every once in a while without feeling the need to attack people.

Need more time to make shit up so they can release the ones they want to instead of the actual files.

I like how they said that they were gonna “release” some more info in a doomed attempt to keep people calm but couldn’t even manage that. I betcha Trump is already on the golf course this late on a Friday.

Or the doctor was more worried about telling him something he didn’t want to hear. Or he doesn’t give a shit about what some random doctors tells him.

There are numerous tools already out there for parents to use to monitor and censor what their kids see online. Schools have been using it since the Internet came out and it’s only gotten more robust over the years. Not only that, but kids always figure out a way around this shit and will continue to do so until the end of time because that’s just what they do. The only thing this does is punish everyone and implement more surveillance. And since people are people and kids are kids, there will be workarounds within days even without a VPN.

As someone that has had to double check peoples code before, especially those that don’t comment appropriately, I’d rather just write it all again myself than try and decipher what the fuck they were even doing.

The same reason every politician and government will never release them, because they are trying to protect themselves or someone else. As long as money and power remain the only things politicians care about this will never get released. And I find it absolutely infuriating that these people will always prioritize reputations over the literal r*ping of children. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of people just blatantly getting away with it because apparently every single elite is in on it.

And that’s how I used to be back in the day and that shit destroys your mental health. And when you do “slip” it’s always worse and more exaggerated because of the repressed feelings. I would think that there was something wrong with me and I hated that part of me. I wished that I was completely straight and would internally shame myself whenever I had “gay thoughts” because I thought it made me less of a man. But at the end of the day, nobody cares about how manly you are except for people that want to feel like they are better than you or people that want something from you.

The amount of “straight but curious” guys I’ve found out in the world is a little too high for that to be the case.

That’s kinda the situation I’m in too. Dating women has always been easier for me so according to everyone that knows me I’m hetero even though I’ve told them that I’m bi. They just can’t see it.
