I will always hand-pick names for important characters, but I will admit to occasionally opening up a name generator when I need something to call the background character that’s gonna show up in a total of two scenes.
What a loser
Mindlessly following orders is your duty as a soldier, it has nothing to do with them being robotic psycopaths or not.
Maybe fewer of them are frothing at the mouth to harm civilians the way cops are, I have no idea, but assuming an army is just not going to follow orders because you think they’re “normal people” is a risky and stupid position to take.
The fact that whoever made this has a daughter is genuinely so concerning
As someone whose dad doesn’t work I don’t want this to be normalized actually. People would just judge you for coming from a poor family rather than the other way around.
If I’m caught browsing hexbear at work, a slightly horny cartoon is like the best case scenario
Watched it in theatre earlier this year. Beautiful, disgusting movie.
I think this is a real problem with a lot of adaptions, but I don’t think it applies to Elden Ring.
The way it engages with its story is too uniquely video game-y; you get minimal explanations for everything that happens, and if you want to figure it out you have to search through item descriptions and cross interrogate NPCs then put things together from context clues.
It’s a form of storytelling that’s impossible to do in a movie, they have to completely change how the story is told or it simply won’t work.
Reading this just made me sad knowing this guy will spend the rest of his life in a cell
Why is the world like this?
That is such a gross way to depict the female security guard. The way she clings onto him is way too intimate.
The article is interesting, but it’s obvious they picked the most alarmist, misleading headline possible, where they make it sound like this is likely to explode into a hyper deadly pandemic at any moment.
Both WHO and CDC considers the public health risk from avian flu low, but not non-existent. It’s obviously important that these organizations monitor and stay vigilant about diseases like this, but there isn’t any reason to believe we’re looking at another pandemic or major public health crisis.
Here is the WHO’s most recent report, which I really recommend going through if you get anxious from headlines like this: https://www.who.int/publications/m/item/updated-joint-fao-who-woah-public-health-assessment-of-recent-influenza-a(h5)-virus-events-in-animals-and-people_apr2025
Lae’zel redemption arc starts after the creche. If you agree to
enter the astral prism either after or before fighting the inquisitor
Lae’zel will try to cope with what happens for a while, but you’ll get a camp event soon where she starts changing her mind.
You don’t need to do the zaith’isk, but imo it’s nice to get the story context of what it actually does. If you do, you need to roll a few saving throws and if you fail there’s some extremely bad permanent debuffs which can only be cured by eating a space gummy, so if you’re absolutely avoiding using those you might want to steer away. If you succeed all of them you get a significant buff to your illithid powers, if that’s something that matters to you. If you let Lae’zel do it instead, it’s much harder to avoid getting the penalties.
If you decide to fight the creche, please save the egg and take care of it
There is absolutely no way Aftenposten will change to a more NATO-critical position. It’s THE conservative newspaper, it would be the last major newspaper in the country to make a switch like that.
I thought surely this title is an exaggeration but it’s literally that bad. Anything that questions the status quo about anything, or just exists outside the majority, should be treated as a threat to national security.
Also, extremely disingenous that the state calls this guy, who is both appointed and then employed by the Home Office, an independent reviewer. They’re incetivised to chose someone with whatever values and priorities matches their own, which makes it extremely concerning this is the kind of guy they went with.
Everywhere you can go during act 1 remains available until the very end of act 2 (and you get another pop-up warning you about that), so you generally don’t need to worry about missing things until that point. It would have locked you out of the grove and goblin camp quests if you hadn’t done them, but you can still go back and do other questlines like the creche.
Also, make sure to grab the sword in the stone nearby when you go to the selunite temple, it’s my favorite weapon in the game and it’s bonkers
I thnk it’s true for people who were AMAB as well. Men castrated before completing puberty were often very tall, as it takes longer for the skeletal growth plates to set into place.
Mass deporting people to prisons without trial is an acceptable political disagreement, but god help you if you touch a Dem I guess.
What do they even teach people in business and leadership schools?
Every competent boss or manager I’ve had were people with education and experience in the field they’re working who ended up in a leadership positions through circumstances. Every time I’ve worked for someone whose passion is “entrepreneurship” or running a company, it’s a complete clown show where everyone is in a constant state of confusion.
Olives for me too. When my parents used to eat them I thought the smell was so gross, but now I’ll gladly snack on them.
