I’ve been applying to tipped service jobs where a mask might be detrimental to my income.

I’m a freak shit who lives in the middle of nowhere currently and I’ve never stopped masking up, and I’d go months without seeing another person wearing one. I will continue to do so until covid is finally taken care of. The social price to pay will never outweigh my fear of long covid.

That being said, I don’t have the emotional energy to judge people for not masking at this point. This was a large scale social problem that was unfairly turned into a personal consumer choice to mask or not, and it’s not like shits gonna get better anytime soon. I just can’t pretend like we live in a state of normal.

I do genuinely worry about joking about how Israelies hold bodily autonomy in such low regard but I literally can’t read this in any other way than “this country won’t stop talking about how much they love SA, we need to cover this up somehow”.

There’s a Chomsky quote (yes yes I know) where someone asked him something along the lines of “why don’t we all just get together and take over the white house/halls of government”, and his response was “because they’ll fucking shoot you”.

My domestic political point of reference (to be arrogant, it should be most Burgers) is the ongoing struggle for black emancipation, and how the state has murdered any future Marcus Garvey with total impunity (see Ferguson). There cannot be a vanguard party under these conditions. As blackpilled and lazy as this is, until the state withers to the point where they can’t just put a gun to the back of your skull and call it a suicide, I don’t know how effective political organizing can happen. I’m not even talking about violent action against the state (as an apolitical Christian conservative, I discourage such actions), the moment you create a party that could effectively discipline elected officials, you’re gonna have three leter agencies throwing so many people in rental vans, Ford will be able to limp along for another year.

The cats I’m not worried about. I’ve been in multiple non cat apartments and the maintenence people either don’t give a shit or have told me most non pet places won’t bother once you move in and keep the money flowing.
