Thanks, it actually looks like just what I’ve been looking for - but for the lacking load/save thing. I’ll give it a try after work tomorrow and see how it goes. Cheers!

Thanks, I’ll check it out and see if it works.
The problems I’ve had is that everything I’ve tried either doesn’t seem to like the steam deck, or the controls don’t work, or i would need to play it in the browser from desktop.
I’m the kind of player who isn’t very good, wants to play against the computer, and usually I just want to fire up a saved game when I’ve finished my real gaming, make a couple of moves, and save the game until next day. If it takes a lot of faff with desktop, graphics settings, etc - I just wouldn’t end up using it.
I guess I’m just a little surprised I’ve not found something simple and steam deck verified. Thanks for your suggestions, I’ll check em out!
Just to add that I did buy shotgun king and I’m enjoying it. But it’s not plain chess, and that’s what I am looking for!
You gotta eat their ass first, that was where you went wrong. Get that tongue in there and clean up before the fucking ensues.
Yeah, I lived like this for maybe thirty years, in between being a junkie. Gave up pretty much all my indulgences the past couple of years because I’m just too old for that shit and the health debt is coming due. I still smoke weed and take the occasional valium. My addictions saw me through a lot of rough patches, and being mostly sober is hard work - but booze and drugs is not a great way to deal with your problems.
Edit - closer to forty years actually. Oops.
Yeah, I had a Sinclair spectrum, then a BBC B before I got my first PC (386, 33mhz!). The BBC was a cool machine, a great version of basic to learn on, and you could compile assembly on it too. The spectrum had better games though.
It certainly looks as though they’ve pretty thoroughly shat the bed. I suspect they fell for their own propaganda about all the freedom and how they’re the best country in the world etc, forgot that those are just words.
He’s also a good writer and seven pillars of wisdom is a fascinating book.
Great, cheers I’ll try John dies at the end.
I’ve heard him as a frequent guest on gamefully unemployed and small beans podcasts. They’re focused on movies, he’s full of interesting takes.
I thought NDAs couldn’t be used to cover criminal behaviour?
Mocking Germans is okay but using a traditionally Chinese name isn’t?
I’ve heard him on a bunch of podcasts and keep meaning to try his books. I’ve got a copy of this book is full of spiders, I’ll have to give it a go.
Where’s a good place to start with his stuff?
I suspect asteroid mining won’t be profitable unless we are able to use the materials to build stuff in space. It costs so much to launch stuff into space that a ton of say iron is going to be worth much more there than on earth. Whether we’ll ever reach that stage is anyone’s guess but I hope so.
This is actually a very good description of how a shot of heroin feels, when you have a habit. It’s just much moreso than cigarettes.
I’d like to find a phone that isn’t, mine is certainly full of crap I don’t want.
Yeah, I played it a lot, and a similar one called aviator which was a kinda flight sim. There wasn’t really much of an internet back then but stuff was easy to copy on tapes.
I like to see good animal or bird life in games, really ups the immersion for me if it’s gotta good algorithm. Do they react if you kick em? An I think ppl have enjoyed looking after animals in computer games as long as there’s been computer games. I remember these tamagotchi things in the 80s or 90s, little LCD screens with some sorta animal you had to look after by pressing a tiny button.
I’ve been enjoying your screenshot posts, cheers
Yeah. But I’m clean now and still alive to regret that particular incident, could be worse
Edit - I wanted to bring it back in a witty way to your username checking out too but fuck me it’s beyond my ability
Yeah, I’ve overdosed before, it’s a swift, painless slide into the dark.
Maybe I misunderstood it but I got the impression that Bateman believes he’s a serial killer, but he’s not the most reliable so it could all be fantasy. Maybe I read too much into it. But yeah American Psycho is profoundly misogynistic and I get the impression Brett Easton Ellis is too
