I live in California and have worked with people who had to sleep in their car. I’ve also been coded before. The experience was horrible; about 20-30 women in an always lit room with no door. Your bed was a chair that reclined. The common area was standing room only during the day while a troubled man shit himself.

All this does is shove a problem under the rug. The cost of living is insane, and support for people struggling with an addiction is handled by local groups.

RGB isn’t something I actively seek, but most thing come with it regardless. I have my gaming PC under my desk on the left side. The case has a glass panel and the light bounces off the TV cabinet next to it. I use Open RGB to set my LEDs to teal and purple inside the case and my Razor mouse. I have a voyager split keyboard that can self-set its RGB without any external app. Long winded way of saying I do customise it so it isn’t too garish, but I only care about backlighting on my keyboard (I still don’t really have home row down)

I have only played the game in VR and loved it. The mod worked great for me a year or two ago so unless a patch went through it still should. Since you’re an experienced VR player I don’t think you’ll have too much issue with motion sickness. That being said it takes a lot to make me nauseous, so your results may vary. I think it’s an amazing way to get drawn into the world.

I’m going to wait for some more concrete information regarding it’s maintenance schedule before assuming it was because the jet was built by Boeing. A quick search of its registration (VT-ANN) show that it’s been flying for a bit over 12 years now. So unless there was a software update pushed by Boeing it’s likely unrelated to who manufactured the plane.

I also can vouch for sh.itjust.works. They have a fair defederation policy and has only gone down a couple times in the two years I’ve been using it. When it has the admin has been quick to address it and provides updates via a matrix chat.

The one downside is that some more niche domains have degenerated defederated (thanks autocorrect) from us due to the open enrolment we have (beehaw comes directly to mind). I recall someone linking a website that tracked what servers are federated with each other but I can’t find it now unfortunately.

A different article I read quoted the mother of the victim stating the family had to cover costs. There’s been no comment from the hospital AFAIK. If the state itself had stepped in and said you can’t pull this patient off life support they’d be covering the bill. From what I can tell though it was the hospitals decision to make sure they stayed within the heart-beat law.

It’s called Blue-Coding since the button for Decaf is blue on the espresso machine. Or at least it was when I worked there about a decade ago. I knew people who did that, but I never would. This is a space for RPG memes, and the meme is covering a topic regarding oversexualized female characters discussing being raped by monsters with a dildo on the table. I’m not perturbed by downvotes, but I noticed them for just asking for it to be tagged as NSFW. I’ve had some rough experiences trying to play tabletop games as a woman and would ideally not have to be reminded of poor behaviour in a space that’s supposed to be lighthearted.

I don’t expect everything to be made for me, that’s why I block a lot of ‘lewd’ content and a blanket NSFW block. I went through Barrens and CoD chat as a young woman so I know what you mean by ‘vastly better place’.
