Depends on the required experience. Most java jobs I see are for junior/medior with corresponding salaries. Go jobs tend to be more medior/senior and thus have higher range.
Senior java jobs may pay a bit better but there are way less of them compared to go jobs
Yeah the language is not the most sexy but it does the job. The tooling is where the real benefits come to life
Yeah I wouldn’t say a java service taking multiple seconds to boot up being scalable the same way that any other compiled language will be.
There are also the huge “legacy” frameworks that slow down java, the auto magic and more non features that make maintaining any real world java application a pain.
My bad. Was EAC kernel level since the beginning? I thought it wasn’t when Apex was released, so maybe that changed but I can’t find anything on Google.
Edit: Still couldn’t find anything on Google so I asked a LLM and seems like it was added after the game’s release. Ofc it may be entirely made up, as I can’t verify the info.
Still I’m pretty sure it’s not a fault in the anti cheat, games have much wider attack surface and game dev are not generally experts on cyber sec. Plus both CoD and Apex are based on older engines who had their code reverse engineered, leaked or were public.
An RCE was already discovered on the older MW2 so it could have been ported to the recent games.
It’s probably not the anti cheat that is being exploited, or at least there is no indication of it and it’s not necessary for rce.
Apex legend had the same a while back and the don’t use kernel ac

Nah that’s GoldSrc there fam ;)
If you don’t like them, just block and move on with your life. We’d all be better off without your negativity.
Can your “radio” be called that if they listen for sonic pulses ?
I thought the term radio was exclusive to electromagnetic radiation, does the term also apply for sonars ?
Or maybe bats also use some kind of EM waves to echo locate too ?
Edit: not trying to be pendantic, I’m genuinely curious about this
Made me think of Bruce Dawson, who lost his wife and kinda retired:

Swiss neutrality is a joke.
Neutral in that they will follow whoever’s putting money in their pockets.
They helped immensely Nazi Germany during WWII, stalled shipment of military gear to Ukraine, shelter Russian money; and will probably follow whatever fascist gov the US will have in a few years.
For tech, Switzerland would be the last country I’d trust after CryptoAG and co.
Neutrality for them is a marketing term.
Génial !
Les autres générateurs sont souvent bien pourris et infestés de pubs. Merci Frama
Dota was always going to be f2p, and maybe you could buy the beta access, but I, like many others, never paid and just got invited. So I would not consider it to be a paid game going f2p
Which ones ? Apart from CSGO, the others have always been free (on the technicality that Fortnite BR is different from the original game)
(sorry I took some time to come back to this) I’m not entirely sure the #5 of OSD would apply to the binary results (even though they are considered derivative work). GPL does restrict the license of the binary, but it seems MPLv2 allows licensing the binary differently as long as you don’t restrict the code further:
You may distribute such Executable Form under the terms of this License, or sublicense it under different terms, provided that the license for the Executable Form does not attempt to limit or alter the recipients’ rights in the Source Code Form under this License.

Look like an observatory up a hill watching the stars
How can Firefox not be open source if its sources are under the MPL2 ?
It has always been the case that Firefox is a trademark and you can’t distribute it under that name. However if the code is open source the project is too.
What I find insane is that FairPhone pushed those updates without testing them properly. These bugs may not be exclusive to their phones, but it affects their users as well.
