  • While I haven’t played D2 in years, I think you’re missing a LOT of the content that it does have. Sure, a seasonal storyline may be small, with a proper expansion campaign being a little longer, but if you really get into Destiny, finishing that stuff is just were the game starts. From there you have raids, dungeons, crucible, gambit, trials of the 9, whatever the seasonal activity is, grinding out long weird questlines to get a particular exotic, doing hidden jumping puzzles to get a different exotic, etc. etc.

Definitely fair that it hooked you less and thus you didn’t get into all that other content, but objectively, Destiny did have a fuckton of content.

  • I went and read a good chunk of negative steam reviews for it. And yeah, the vast majority of the negative ones are about mechanics, or performance, and seem perfectly legitimate. A lot that basically even say, “I don’t recommend now but seems like it will be good once they cook for a bit.”

I did see a couple made super recently that were basically negative reviewing because of this dude’s statements, but not many.
And funny how the only reviews I could imagine being considered review bomb-y seem to only have happened because of his whining about being review bombed.

Mostly it looks like the game’s recent “The Breach” update was legitimately poorly received by the playerbase, the studio head decided, “No, it’s the children who are wrong.”

  • Slay the Spire - a roguelike deckbuilder is a lot of fun.

I haven’t actually tried it, but Balatro has made a lot of waves recently and I imagine you could play that with only mouse.

Also, what kind of mouse are you using? If you’re still on a no thumb buttons mouse, you should definitely upgrade. If you only have 2 thumb buttons, as is most common, I’d recommend looking at something with more. My mouse has 3 thumb buttons, and two extra index finger buttons. logitech g502 and while some people like that mouse (i do) some don’t, so I can’t say whether you’d like it, but I will say the extra buttons have allowed me to set up a lot of games that would normally require a keyboard as well into a more mouse only friendly experience.
