People tend to look longingly for a gentler, happier time but I hate to break it; it didn’t exist. Maybe they weren’t exposed to the evils of the world when they were young, and they crave their lost innocence. But in many ways, life and society used to suck even worse than today . Bad as things are now, I wouldn’t want to go back.

I guess that’s the difference between conservatives and progressives; Conservatives look backward and progressives look forward.

2 Movies really.

1. Bette Davis in the Nanny. I haven’t liked the bath since.
2. Death Wish. Wasn’t suitable for an adolescent. I’m still traumatized by the home invasion / rape scene. Hey, that was Hope Lange from the Ghost & Mrs Muir!

Wow, 2/29/88 was the darkest day of my life. Nice to see it wasn’t all bad. Thanks.
