I recommend dual booting if that’s the only thing holding you up, as long as you keep Linux/windows on separate disks. I am in linux most of the time but I keep windows around just in case I need to use software that doesn’t work with wine/proton. It seems daunting but you’ll start learning how to use Linux as soon as you start using it as your daily driver.
If you are playing Tarkov on a daily basis then I could see that getting old quick
Using windows 11 got me to switch my home PC to Linux at the start of the year so I have them to thank or that. My work PC just got updated from W10 to W11 and so far it’s so much worse than I was expecting, purely based on performance/buginess alone. I have no problems with most the features but it all feels one step forward two steps back when the whole system seems to be much less responsive
Spelunky 2 COOP drinking game.

Wow that art is done excellent, looks straight out of the Oracle games
Same. I tried the official app after sync stopped working and hated it
I of course have a premium account, but anyway I logged into QBDLX (software for downloading from qobuz) which generates log files that contain everything you need to use Qobuz with strawberry. It’s too bad qbdlx can’t playback, and strawberry can’t download, so I use both
Infamous serial killer. Particularly sick in what he did with his victims
Throwing out there that I use qobuz with Strawberry player on Linux and it works great.
That’s an interesting point. I wonder how many Lemmy users have had nothing to do with Reddit. I can’t imagine that many
I watched Daft Punk’s Interstellar 5555 AI remaster when it was in theaters recently. Granted this is an anime, not live action. I think the source footage they used was probably standard definition, but overall I’d say it was a net negative experience. There were time it would look good but when it looks bad, which is often (particularly in the background or on small objects) it’s incredibly distracting
To put it another way, the bad had a bigger impact to me than when it looked good. But then again, this is an anime and is probably pretty low frame rate especially compared to sitcoms which from what I recall probably run around 60p, so it might look better
Is this Charlie Brown grown up?
Yeah I’ve heard of issues people have with actually getting a family setup, I’m not sure what the rules are as I’m sharing with someone who lives in Europe (I’m in the us) and also someone who’s on the opposite side of the US as I am
You got some other good points, but the new family system works way better now. Previously only one person was allowed to use any one persons entire library at a time, now game sharing is locked on an individual basis
Should try measuring it from the outside… just to be sure
My reason for choosing openSUSE was admittedly shallow but I’m here to represent our team!
I’m enjoying it so far, I’m into my third game. It definitely is not without it’s flaws but it definitely scratches the “one more turn” itch for me. I like the new mechanics but what remains to be seen for me is how the replayability will feel compared to 5 & 6
I remember that one, my dad used to play it when I was a child! I should go dig out the old retro hardware…
Orcas do it too
