What medication would that be? I have found enzymes that seem to help with fructans and GOS, do you mean those?

I’ve heard of fecal transplants before, but that it’s simply unknown at this point if it helps with IBS. Hypnosis seems to be helpful for some people as well.

Maybe just let people enjoy whatever game they like?

I think that is okay because there was no intent to create pornography there. It is a political statement. As far as I am concerned that falls under free speech. It is completely different from creating nudes of random people/celebrities with the sole purpose of wanking off to it.

It’s not always straightforward. I work as a software developer at a company which creates scientific measurement instruments. These instruments are used to do research into new battery types, and make cement greener. But they are also used extensively by the fossil fuel industry. I do struggle with the ethics of this.

For now I’ve decided to keep doing the job and make good money. When we’ve figured some other shit out in our lives we’ll most likely move, and I’ll give it another shot to work a job which I feel better about.

The problem with changing from company-owned servers to private servers is the question who will maintain the server software.

Making it open source is not always an option because I can imagine there is a lot of shared code with other projects which the company want to keep propriety. This means the company would have to maintain the code for others to be able to host the servers, which I doubt makes financial sense.
