I agree with you Americans largely traded that political subjectivity for access to cheap commercial goods, this bribe or bread and circus is starting to break down, my biggest fear is we won’t have organizational capacity to deal with climate change in out local communitys and this will be the battle field for the new American left at least thats what I think, if we start now in my mind the community by in will create solidarity between the community and party forms.

I like this post my experience of the boomer left as it dominated the x gen lefts entire movement, we failed to having meaningful citque of neoliberlaism as we had sorta citqued fordism for like 20ish years then got blind sided by neoliberalism and try to do entryism into unions in the 1980s but it was already a rotting structure, this is hard to rember but union leaders got unpopular in 1970s and then the conservatives took advantage of this later in the 1980s but they where at the time pointing at real problems in unions till this day, union leaders geting stock dividends changes their calculus and they become the corporate unions of today very slow but not with out loads of 1970s wild cat strikes.

Thats a big true but we need numbers and organizations to make our critique meaning full, which I think isnt at this moment. For me its enough to know the capital t truth of a situation we have to be able to act on it as well.

The inflation is mostly supply chain problems that are unfixable in the medium to long term, im not a final crisis guy but its starting to shape up that way. I really do like the kids, I try to support them even if I don’t agree with what they say and do sometimes but take it from me, this has been the best shape the left as been in decades, I think iv been more optimistic recently due to dsa elections. Whats a really fun stat to look out in the gap in generational wealth among poor whites and blacks is a house adjusted for inflation. A lot of this is speculation and we don’t know how far the liberal faction of the deep state is willing to go in the face of, exiting nato, recalling military bases, debt default, massive military budget cuts as a result of a chaotic debt default situation or Trump retaliation moment we have no idea if he is serious and would go that far.

Contingency: the one issue that is out of everyone’s control and is the largest external threat to everyone is if one faction or another of the American deep state desides to start up a direct war with another nuclear power in order to 911 war on terror all the problems away.

An example, trump win then exits nato and helps the Republicans default on the national debt and he gets Kennedyed. The state blames it on China and we do war in Taiwan. War on terror style. This is the worst outcome for every country because of the nuclear question when the Americans take massive losses 📉 trying to take the island.

Or we have another 4 years of trump in the news and nothing really happens.

I think we should question the idea if safe spaces are compatale with federation ultimately, look I cant speak to the trans experience, so I’m not gonna comment on it but I think acceptance and strict upholding of trans people as people is non negotiable any attacks on trans people is an attack on the whole working class.
