I think this American AI bullshit should have been banned at the federal level before it ever got to the provincial level. Carney is a center-right fiscal-conservative who wants nothing more than for capitalists to rape our resources for financial gain. Liberals should be a step ahead of conservatives, especially when they lead the Fed and they’re clearly not. They’re obviously just letting this happen because they want the dollars.

I’d sub. There’s a lot of communities that were started a few years ago but didn’t have the population to really function. Lately I’ve been seeing a bit uptick in participation and posting, I bet a lot of people will be looking to pick up abandoned communities like these.

I miss the Metal subreddits most of all, so any extra music subreddits would be appreciated.

Man, egg on my face, I thought it was a law. The way grocery stores are actively turning hostile towards customers we should probably make it a law.

In truth, we should probably nationalize grocery stores, but a more realistic, capitalism driven, “profits before people” approach would be to make it law.

In Canada if a poorer person picked an item up at $3, then some rich dude walked behind him and it became $4, legally they would then have to give him the item free because of a price difference on an item under $10. Over $10 dollars you automatically get the lower of the two prices.

Edit: I’ve been informed it’s not a law, but a voluntary act by retailers (screams internally).

Not to be contrarian, but I think we got into this whole mess because politicians started representing the will of people other than their voters. It should be up to the people to want to help and protect children, migrants and disabled non-voters, the politicians should just distill all their will into action in the political system. The whole point is I don’t want a leader who acts on his own, I want a representative who does what he’s told by the voters, the voters should be the ones who want better for all.

People have a right to live full lives after addiction. What the fuck is wrong with the US and not believing in rehabilitation?

I do not want to be led, I want someone who will act like a hammer to be wielded by myself and my fellow voters so our collective arm can nail down our rights.

He was saying that people need someone to tell them on Sunday that working until you die for nothing is fine because it’ll all be great after you die. He made a strong argument for religion just being another capitalist tool that keeps the people in line, doped up just enough to work another week. Sure, if opiate addiction in response to abuse is human, then that’s pretty damn human.

He even argued that religion mirrors the hierarchical structures of the government it exists under, which is pretty spot on.

I never took his writing to be pro-religion.

Canadians need to stop thinking of politics in terms of a binary system, it really doesn’t help that we never got the ranked voting we wanted from Trudeau. But I’m sick of seeing people get annoyed with Liberals and turn to Conservatives, it gets from bad to worse because as a country we can’t think outside of those boxes.

I know I’m placing to the choir on this site but it gets so fucking frustrating.

Outside of suburban hell people of vastly different economic situations generally live right near each other.

For instance, next door from me are two dudes who couldn’t afford a fridge for the first couple months they lived here, they work and study, the next neighbor owns the entire building and his own contracting company.

There person in the story could truly be suffering, but it’s sold as “lol Karen got owned”.
