It was about a futuristic world where the world and technology were intertwined and people would change how they looked, often becoming part animal or whatever, but then the technology goes down (I forget how) and everyone has to adapt to the real world and learn to live in it again

I still haven’t managed to get a job and it’s wearing on me more every day. I’m living with my parents currently and they refuse to use my name/pronouns, they refuse to even try. I haven’t been able to start hormones, my dysphoria is bad and I feel like no one takes it seriously. I’m spiralling into depression more each day despite my meds. I don’t know how to keep going. My partner supports me but he’s half a world away, and most of the time seems too busy with his own life to talk to me. There aren’t even any support groups around because we live in Woop Woop.

Did anyone else cycle through them, or just me?

I’m right there with you, mate. I graduated just in time for the whole industry to be about “AI”. I don’t want to work on AI. I hate AI. I also don’t feel qualified for the jobs I’m applying for. Sure, I did the degree, but I don’t feel like I learnt anything in it well enough to call myself qualified.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll take a look at the links! I mainly posted here because in the research I’d done I didn’t find a lot of personal responses that covered my concerns, so I was hoping for more first person accounts. 💙

Anecdotal, I guess, but my cat loves having her claws trimmed. She doesn’t even do it for the treat. And she continues to scratch everything afterwards, which is fine, the only time we cut them is if she scratches us when playing.

Seems everyone else has covered your main questions so I thought I’d add a few things from an Aussie who’s visited the US a few times:

• our Coke is more like Mexican Coke
• our chocolate is different
• our licorice is better and plentiful (try the bullets)
• we don’t have orange chicken
• we have chicken sushi though (it’s cooked, don’t worry)
• mint slice biscuits > thin mints
• there aren’t as many flavour varieties for drinks/snacks here, also our chip packets are coloured different
• it will get hot in summer, and I mean hot, so make sure you have air con or something where you’re moving to, it can get over 100°F
