Nah, I get it and I get this whole thing is getting worse by the day with everything. The age and identity verification crap, this crap with Firefox, the tracking and data collecting getting pushed more and more. Its all a bunch of bullshit, I get it. I was just making a joke that nobody wants the AI features anyway so not being able to use them on something like GrapheneOS wasn’t a loss or matter to me in that specific area. But I get what you’re saying. I, like anyone paying attention to this stuff, just wish it would go the fuck away.

“It does not mean Firefox can no longer be installed or run on non-certified or rooted Android devices, but it might mean that users on non-certified or rooted devices can’t access all AI features in Firefox for Android.”
🤣 nobody wants those features anyway. Good thing I use Vanadium and Ironfox though.

Thanks for this. So nostalgiac, I had so many of these skins on Winamp years ago.
That’s true. I just don’t use it or have any desire to use it. But I get there are some still using it so, you are right a privacy focused frontend is a good thing to have.
Or just don’t use Twitter at all. Win-win
Ahhh, ok no problem. I will check selfh.st out. Thanks!
I’ve been wanting to get some rss feeds going on my server. Would you have some good links for rss feeds for open source, self hosting, etc to get me started? Wanting to run a docker container for them too.

Yes it is, but f-droid isnt as recommended as getting it from the source. F-Droid is fine but Obtainium with direct from github is better.

Except Accrescent isn’t owned by GOS or affiliated with them. Its just a recommended app store by GOS on top of GOS’ own app store and in general for people not on GOS. Ironfox is also available directly from github and Obtainium can be used to install and update Ironfox from github along with other apps directly from github.

Yes, they have alot of people to help archive for the new site. They just posted that the best way to help is to use their script to take some of the workload off the site and increase speeds. Minerva, that is.

They also have a Discord now, errrrm as well where you can track progress and talk to them. If Discord is your thing now lol

It will be the exact same. Theyve already posted screenshots and it will be no different. It looks the exact same as well other than the name Minerva now. Looks like theyre preserving and mirroring Myrient as closely as possible.

Its already being uploaded and hosted elsewhere now. New site will be Minerva. So, while its sad, its not gone and will still continue on elsewhere.
Here is their matrix server https://chat.minerva-archive.org/
They are also taking anyone’s help that has storage and can help download anything that still hasn’t been downloaded yet. They have a backup tracker that you can check to see what still needs downloaded. They are also working on data for the checksums to ensure everything matches.
And here is their website if you wish to help and see updates.
Why not switch Linux distros then?
