1·12 days agoSolid state drives have a finite number of write cycles. Using a portion of it for random access MASSSIVELY increases the amount of write cycles that are performed in regular operation.

Swap on an ssd greatly accelerates the time before the drive fails. I would recommend removing it.

6·21 days agoIf you do not know about the two Minsk treaties, and what caused them to break down, then you really ought to research those before making any claims about the conflict.
Russia has neither desire nor capacity to hold ukranian speaking regions.
Why would Putin or his sucessor willingly sign up for a neverending domestic terrorism problem for nothing in return?
Even if you believe that the ideological motivation is false, and the invasion is purely for resources, all of the valuable minerals are in regions that already speak RU and have invited the little green men to assist.
Arable land is something RU has a LOT of. Why would they sign up for a permanent counterinsurgency program for a <2% gain in farmland which will require extensive de-mining before it can be used for anything productive?

To adress the vestiges of an actual point that you had: Countries like Kazakhstan have a mutual defense treaty with Russia. Declaring war formally would obligate them to join the conflict, in a massive escalation that would be bad for everyone.
