It’s frustrating to have to hear the German state media being unconditionally pro-Israel. And sad to try to have a reasonable conversation about this with acquaintances and co-workers. But what really triggers my cognitive dissonance is all those pro-Israel leftist-themed stickers spread everywhere.
I am toying with the idea of getting this…
Well articulated—clear and concise!
Very good read. It’s very frustrating to see how German people seem to be as blind to genocide now as they were back then in the 40s.
I feel age has little to do with it. I‘ve seen these traits in people from all ages.
I hope it works out for you in the end. Good luck!
I work in a small lab. Our systems are controlled using two computers that run 24/7. The main real-time control stack is open source and open hardware. I happens in a Linux box that runs NixOS. I would trust my life to that machine and fly it to the end of the universe and back again. It just never fails. We can even run updates while everything keeps running undisturbed. Some devices need drivers that only work with Windows. The second computer runs those under Windows 11. In contrast we have to babysit that machine constantly, USB connections are unreliable, things fail randomly. When we have to update, the world comes to a halt. It‘s an amazing difference.
I‘m very glad the company where I work has explicitly prohibited the use of AI for coding, in fear of spilling their company secrets.
I admire its purity. A survivor…unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality.
Pay with a check.
You are totally right. Thanks for this thought.
Nice read, thanks.
I love the word christofascist. I‘ll try to use it more from now on.
Not true, we all know what those uncontrolled kids do with the skin care products after pirating the porn.
I bring my own wet tissues for this reason.
Ahh…. I was there my friend. Similar setup, 486 DX4 100, USRobotics modem. I had the IRQ conflict. Me and my friend figured out how to change the channels by reading the mainboard‘s manual. I had to change some jumpers around. It was my first modem and I had never connected to the internet before.
I believe he’s talking about Germany not allowing critique on war crimes and mass murder if perpetrated by Israel.
Um… Ok you might have saved me from a few faux passes.
