Sometimes, especially after ChatGPT became a thing. Most recently I printed a bunch of stuff for a Swedish writing assignment were I had to print out all of my online sources. They can’t let have computers then, people will just generate some slop for the assignment

I’m not sure that I’ll get the English terms wrong but basically heat can move in three ways:

• By convection, aka liquids and gases moving around when theire heated. Obviously this doesn’t happen in space
• By conduction, a hot thing thouches a cold one and heat transfers from hot to cold. And, this neither works in space
• By radiaton. Hot objects radiate heat as electro magnetic waves (ie ligth). This is the only one that works in a vacuum and this process is rather slow. Also this results I the weird phenomenon that good looking people cool down faster in space since their hoter. Therefore we should only recruit bad looking astronauts, but no one seems to have figured that out

EDIT: it wasn’t that. This works, at least for me

To further elaborate the stilts allow for plenty of room to run a cooling loop which could probably be run by a pump powered of your foot steps. Radiating away the heat might be a bit difficult, running a fan on your shoes might look a bit weird. Or it’s just kinda a vibe and you run the fan of the water pressure from the foot step powered pump.

I feel like the best analogy for this type of geology is a frozen lake. The ice moves and creates mountains and… um cracks. Lucky we don’t get that on earth but it’s still a nice analogy
